Elkano's BuffBars

Table of Contents

EBB provides groups of statusbar style indicators to show (de)buffs currently affecting your char or some other units (currently focus, pet and target). For the player, it can also show indicators for temporary enchants place on it's weapons.

Due to changes Blizzard made with WoW 4.x it's no longer possible to cancel buffs without the use of secure frames. Currently EBB limits canceling of buffs to out-of-fight since using SecureAuraHeader would have required a major code restructuring. This will be coming in a later version.

Version 2.x is a total recode based on the Ace2 framework which became necessary in order to support some of the longtime wanted and suggested features. It's now possible to show different groups of bars which can be configured in many ways. Each group can be assigned an individual look and filter settings. EBB can be configured via a dropdown menu which is accessible via chat (/ebb config), FuBar plugin or (for the group settings) by right clicking the groups anchor. After setting up a group, its anchor can be hidden by alt-left clicking a bar or the anchor itself in order to lock the group in place.

In order to get additional bar textures and fonts for EBB simply install SharedMedia which is available for download under http://wow.curse.com/downloads/wow-addons/details/sharedmedia.aspx

Only if you could import your settings from the Ace2 version! OMG it would take me years to reset everything.

Is there anyway i can get the buffs bar to go from right to left instead of down or up, having them all going downwards just looks untidy to me. Thanks.

when i'm in combat, i can't right click and disable my self buffs. is there a setting for it somewhere or is it a bug? thanks and keep up the good work.

Hello, i am using the mod to show my debuffs on the target.ima SPriest, what i do not want to see are the debuffs/dots from other priests on the same target.
how do i turn the dots of other priests off?

the anchor is shown when the bargroup is in configuration mode. This can be done via /ebb config, the minimap icon or by alt-left-clicking a bar of that group.

For the minimal setup, disable the bar for that group, set the topleft text to timeleft and the topright text to none.

How does one show the anchors again?
Also seen in your Screenshots a minimlistic setup..how to do that please?

- set the icon position to right
- exchange the "text shown" settings for topleft and topright text

Is there a way to flip the mod over?

What i mean is, have the timer to the left the buff name

so

Timer | Name | Icon

By default it is Icon | Name | Timer

Ive gone through all the settings but cant achieve this.

Is there any way to see instance desertir cooldown with EBB? I cannot see it neither on blizzard ui nor on EBB currently.

since, as you noticed yourself, it isn't shown by the default UI (implying that it isn't returned by the aura API), no, there isn't.

currently having issues with Shaman Weapon buffs if I resize the frame I notice the size of the weapon buff doesn't change from the 100% to the lower ratio in my case 53%

Had no problems canceling buffs today des 16. running newest Elkano :) Also running tons of other downloads, don't know if that does something to the cancel buff code, but had the problem with Satrina Buff Frames :)

I've got the same problem with satrina, unfortunately, i think =, we meust wait & see, maybe you can use "Cancel my buff" for the moment

Would really like a workaround to right-click remove buffs from the AddOn, if possible. I really, really like this AddOn and would hate to have to ditch it, as the inability to remove buffs is becoming more and more annoying. No idea why Blizz would do something like that, all it's doing is annoying everyone, heh.
