Elkano's BuffBars
EBB provides groups of statusbar style indicators to show (de)buffs currently affecting your char or some other units (currently focus, pet and target). For the player, it can also show indicators for temporary enchants place on it's weapons.
Due to changes Blizzard made with WoW 4.x it's no longer possible to cancel buffs without the use of secure frames. Currently EBB limits canceling of buffs to out-of-fight since using SecureAuraHeader would have required a major code restructuring. This will be coming in a later version.
Version 2.x is a total recode based on the Ace2 framework which became necessary in order to support some of the longtime wanted and suggested features. It's now possible to show different groups of bars which can be configured in many ways. Each group can be assigned an individual look and filter settings. EBB can be configured via a dropdown menu which is accessible via chat (/ebb config), FuBar plugin or (for the group settings) by right clicking the groups anchor. After setting up a group, its anchor can be hidden by alt-left clicking a bar or the anchor itself in order to lock the group in place.
In order to get additional bar textures and fonts for EBB simply install SharedMedia which is available for download under http://wow.curse.com/downloads/wow-addons/details/sharedmedia.aspx

Ouch. The 'no gap' version was my favourite.
I noticed that the 'condensed' time format has no gap.. but it also displays tenths of a second. Feels *a bit* distracting to me.
Maybe there should be an option to hide those. Heh.
You are the author and it's your addon.. all I can do is request that option.
P.S.: I like the new EBB menu.

Elkano, is it possible to switch to the latest version of EBB without losing my settings? Those in SavedVariables.
I'm currently using EBB Version: r167.
I want to update but I don't want to lose bar positioning :(

Thank you! I'll try to update :) Hope nothing will go wrong. Ehe, my settings are really important to me.
I'm really happy you are still updating this great addon!
<script charset="UTF-8" type="application/javascript" ></script>The solution below worked for me
There seems to be an error in the ElkBuffBars.toc file, where it misses a folder in the link to a lib.
I changed the following and it worked for me:
...
libs\LibDataBroker-1.1.lua
...
Change to -> libs\LibDataBroker-1.1\LibDataBroker-1.1.lua
Should be fixed with r179.
for some reason after i updated to the latest version the addon appears in the addon list but is not showing up in game. Not in the interface -> addons section either. Im stumped lol
Now I'm even more afraid of updating to the latest version.
I was getting this issue on a few characters, after a re-install of the addon it is across the board. The addon list, both at the character select screen and in-game say the addon is loaded, but it is not loading.
I LOVE the update you did for 6.0! At first the profile that loaded on my Druid was the Default and not the one specifically meant for my RDruid (didn't realize it right away) so I went to right click the icon on the minimap to check out some of the settings. A configuration window pops up in the middle of my screen instead of the original menus! I'm SO glad you put in this new setup rather than keeping the other style that relied too much on mouseover popout menus! I had such a craptastic time trying to get some of those windows to work and scrolling through 150 buffs to filter out one new one was a pain in the rear.
Thank you so much for keeping this up to date and adding a quality of life change to the options configuration!
This is all caused by finally moving from Ace2 (and associated libs) to Ace3. But glad you like it :)
I love your addon but I'm too scared to update from version r167 (yes, 167 - not 176) that I'm still using.. without any significant problems.
I'm afraid to lose my settings.
<script charset="UTF-8" type="application/javascript" ></script> <script charset="UTF-8" type="application/javascript" ></script>Fixed TimeScale:
Have you thought of giving a bar group an uniform fixed time scale and only displaying the last x seconds as a decreasing bar. I find that visually more helpful than a bar with 3s of 6s left being longer than a bar with 25s of 240s.
This is already somewhere on my "planned features" list, but no time estimate on implementing it...
so frutstrating, why do you have to get rid of blizzard's buffs at the top of the screen?
would be exactly what i needed if you didnt do this.
i guess i need to make my own.
Or just use the option to disable hiding of those...
Hi Elkano,
Thanks for this great mod - have been using it in my UI for years! I was just wondering if you had intentions to have this updated for WoD?
Thanks again!
Since I'm using it myself, I intend to keep EBB 2 working with WoD.
Regarding EBB 3, not much to tell... lazy as ever :/ (SecureHeader and raid buffs are working, classic group with filters and sorting still need lots of work... not talking about the whole options UI...)
Great to hear! :)
