Elkano's BuffBars
EBB provides groups of statusbar style indicators to show (de)buffs currently affecting your char or some other units (currently focus, pet and target). For the player, it can also show indicators for temporary enchants place on it's weapons.
Due to changes Blizzard made with WoW 4.x it's no longer possible to cancel buffs without the use of secure frames. Currently EBB limits canceling of buffs to out-of-fight since using SecureAuraHeader would have required a major code restructuring. This will be coming in a later version.
Version 2.x is a total recode based on the Ace2 framework which became necessary in order to support some of the longtime wanted and suggested features. It's now possible to show different groups of bars which can be configured in many ways. Each group can be assigned an individual look and filter settings. EBB can be configured via a dropdown menu which is accessible via chat (/ebb config), FuBar plugin or (for the group settings) by right clicking the groups anchor. After setting up a group, its anchor can be hidden by alt-left clicking a bar or the anchor itself in order to lock the group in place.
In order to get additional bar textures and fonts for EBB simply install SharedMedia which is available for download under http://wow.curse.com/downloads/wow-addons/details/sharedmedia.aspx

I'm afraid to lose my settings.

Have you thought of giving a bar group an uniform fixed time scale and only displaying the last x seconds as a decreasing bar. I find that visually more helpful than a bar with 3s of 6s left being longer than a bar with 25s of 240s.

Regarding EBB 3, not much to tell... lazy as ever :/ (SecureHeader and raid buffs are working, classic group with filters and sorting still need lots of work... not talking about the whole options UI...)

Posted Aug 17, 2014Is it possible to show Buff icons horizontally? I'm seeing conflicting info on this. I can't find how to do it, but it should be a simple feature.
Ideally I'd like a blizzard-like buff bar for the long term buffs, then a more detailed/larger frame for the shorter ones.

Posted Mar 31, 2014Sadly, being able to cancel in combat isn't compatible with the filters and sorting of EBB.
It requires use of the SecureAuraHeader, that provides only a very limited subset of the filters/sorting.
If you know which buffs you intend to cancel during fight, you can however create makros for that using /cancelaura

Posted Feb 6, 2014I've been playing around in an attempt to minimize my UI. This has lead to a nice cut-down in addons, however, one is still eluding me: I want to get rid of GTFO. I don't have sounds on, leading me to be able to replace it easily with EBB if only I could figure out how to show negative auras. Initially I thought I could solve it with the following settings:
1) Make a new group
2) Set group to target player, Type: Debuffs only.
3) Timeless Debuffs: Blacklist
And leave it at that. Well, that didn't work. I only get timeless actual debuffs on myself (Ghost when I'm dead, Ancient Miasma on Malkorok etc), but I'm not getting the actual negative auras I want to see (standing in fire on Ordos, Noxious Poison pools on The Fallen Protectors, stupid resonating amber on the Klaxxi Paragons trash etc).
Now, I realize that a solution is to instead whitelist regular debuffs and find the debuffs I care about, however, that's not really what I'm looking for- I just want the group to show me the debuff (scaled to show a massive icon) whenever I'm a tard and step in something, anything, that applies a negative aura on me.
I think the problem may be that, despite it showing in the UI as a timeless debuff, it's actually got a hidden timer of sorts that's reapplied every x milliseconds to count ticks and shit, but I'm not sure. So, in conclusion, is there anyone out there with the knowledge of how to change the settings of my bar-group to filter out all debuffs with a visible time-remaining thing and show me ALL debuffs that act like auras?
