Elkano's BuffBars
EBB provides groups of statusbar style indicators to show (de)buffs currently affecting your char or some other units (currently focus, pet and target). For the player, it can also show indicators for temporary enchants place on it's weapons.
Due to changes Blizzard made with WoW 4.x it's no longer possible to cancel buffs without the use of secure frames. Currently EBB limits canceling of buffs to out-of-fight since using SecureAuraHeader would have required a major code restructuring. This will be coming in a later version.
Version 2.x is a total recode based on the Ace2 framework which became necessary in order to support some of the longtime wanted and suggested features. It's now possible to show different groups of bars which can be configured in many ways. Each group can be assigned an individual look and filter settings. EBB can be configured via a dropdown menu which is accessible via chat (/ebb config), FuBar plugin or (for the group settings) by right clicking the groups anchor. After setting up a group, its anchor can be hidden by alt-left clicking a bar or the anchor itself in order to lock the group in place.
In order to get additional bar textures and fonts for EBB simply install SharedMedia which is available for download under http://wow.curse.com/downloads/wow-addons/details/sharedmedia.aspx

Posted May 23, 2013As you can see from the stack trace, it's not an error with EBB but with Buffoon (whatever that is). Most likely that addon is hooking the tooltip API to show a buff's tooltip and has not been updated for 5.2, thus is still calling a no longer existing function, i.e. GetNumPartyMembers.

1 Question which is bothering me really much: Is there a possibility to "click away" or "remove" Buffs in Combat?

Posted May 21, 2013not with EBB2 since it doesn't use the SecureAuraHeader (which doesn't support the sorting/filtering options). And since SecureButtons are locked in Combat I can't use those either... so if it's only some specific buffs you want to cancel I suggest using an action bar with /cancelaura macros.
EBB3 will support SecureAuraHeader groups (with limited sorting and no filters) but sadly that's the only part working in EBB3 so far... (I'm a bit too lazy I guess :/ )

Posted May 10, 2013long time user, but i had to disable EBB to get my tracking button back (couldnt stop tracking pets or start tracking mining nodes..it was annoying)

Posted May 17, 2013The tracking buttons menu can be accessed via the tracking bar showing in EBB's default buff list.
You can also disable the hiding of the default tracking button in EBBs option.
So no need to disable EBB for that.

Posted Nov 28, 2012So in 5.1 they changed Rune of Power mage buff to show duration on default UI. But it doesn't show duration if you use EBB.
Would be nice to get a fix =)

Idea: Would it be possible to incorporate resource readouts into this? I don't personaly care much for HuD packages and would love to be able to see Rage/Mana/HP/Energy/Combopoints/etc as something along the lines of timeless buffs in an EBB buff group.

Posted Nov 20, 2012I'm not sure why is this happening, but it seens every time I get into arena, its having conflict with gladius and quartz, and the problem isually is an addon called SWATTER! which is part of elkano's buff bar
this error do not allow me to change glyphs or tallents, and sometimes even prevent gladius from showing
so i often have to reinstall elkano's buff bar to play like 5 games with no error
any idea what could it be?
PS: did try to deactive Elkano's buff bar and the error do not occur anymore, but if i only deactive the Swatter! addon, my fps goes to 1 and nothing else works and get error window popping every single global cd

Posted Nov 21, 2012Swatter is NOT part of EBB... it's bundled with Auctioneer, Gatherer, Enchantrix, ... and used to catch errors (I myself prefere !BugGrabber + BugSack for that).
Reinstalling doesn't change anything unless you also removed saved variables but even that only helps if there is a broken configuration state.
Also, if you're getting an error window, don't you think it would help if you would post what it says?

I've created a new group to monitor some important buff of my own, and I put the new group in middle of the screen.
In the PVP environment I need to right click to adjust my perspective, and Sometimes I may be Right-click on the buff bar , and the buff is canceled.
So,Is there any way that can be individually set to a designated new group, right click does not cancel the buff.

Posted Oct 25, 2012I have a really wierd problem... My buffs show my timers but wehn I set debuffs to show "time remaining" on the debuff text all it shows is "???". Like I sadi pretty odd as it is showing my buff's timers with no issue >.< any help much a preciated!
If you skip to 3:30 of this link you will see what I mean. My debuffs are set up to the right of my toon.
