Elkano's BuffBars

EBB provides groups of statusbar style indicators to show (de)buffs currently affecting your char or some other units (currently focus, pet and target). For the player, it can also show indicators for temporary enchants place on it's weapons.

Due to changes Blizzard made with WoW 4.x it's no longer possible to cancel buffs without the use of secure frames. Currently EBB limits canceling of buffs to out-of-fight since using SecureAuraHeader would have required a major code restructuring. This will be coming in a later version.

Version 2.x is a total recode based on the Ace2 framework which became necessary in order to support some of the longtime wanted and suggested features. It's now possible to show different groups of bars which can be configured in many ways. Each group can be assigned an individual look and filter settings. EBB can be configured via a dropdown menu which is accessible via chat (/ebb config), FuBar plugin or (for the group settings) by right clicking the groups anchor. After setting up a group, its anchor can be hidden by alt-left clicking a bar or the anchor itself in order to lock the group in place.

In order to get additional bar textures and fonts for EBB simply install SharedMedia which is available for download under http://wow.curse.com/downloads/wow-addons/details/sharedmedia.aspx

2.3.1 finally has a way to have the anchors showing without putting the group into configuration mode. Enjoy :)

I totally understand the problems with removing buffs in combat - but are there other reasons to skip this addon? I removed it back when but want to give it another go... I hate those icons, I need text.

don't know if this is a bug or my lack of kowledge. but is there a way to show you being mounted on a mechano-hog in the buff bars?

I've confirmed with a couple other former EBB users that it's true they can no longer be clicked off in combat with ElkBB. Apparently it has to use the new "SecuraAuraHeaderTemplates" in order to be able to right-click it off in combat, but that comes with some ordering limitations. Here is an addon that does it..

Raven is another alternative to EBB which has a crafty, if somewhat cumbersome solution to clicking off buffs in combat... a configurable "in-combat window" to click off buffs.

Great addon would love to use it but doesn't seem to cooperate with "tattoo" addon nto sure which addon or both needs the fixing but please hook it up so i can get this bad boy thanks :)

First off let me say thank you fro this addon. Great work.

But I have two quick questions for you. Is there any way to change the font on all the bars at once? I have 7 groups up and it is a pain to change the font on each, one at a time. There are 5 separate font settings per group, so thats 35 settings I have to change.

Also I play a lock and was wondering if there is anyway to separate my dark intent 30 minute buff from the stackable buff that I get when my target crits. They both have the same name so I cant just white filter as far as I know.

Note: Ace2 is deprecated and will not be developed any further! It is officialy at End-Of-Life.

For new projects, use Ace3 instead. For old projects, we suggest porting them to Ace3, or looking for alternatives.

Love the addon but are you gonna make it work on ACE3 ??

long time EBB user... I've found that since cata I can't seem to right-click a buff line to remove the buff. Is there possibly some setting? Do other people have this issue, or is it possibly some bad addon interaction?

Hello,

I'm trying to establish a white list filter. But every time I log out, the buff/ debuff list from which to choose the filtered ones resets. The program "forgets" that it ever has seen those buffs/ debuffs. If I go to a battle ground, the list gets very long, after I log out and in again, all these registered buffs/ debuffs are gone.

I've tried what you say and it worked, when I made a new bar group and put all the same settings as the bugged one bar had everything worked perfectly. I am not quite sure but this might be cause of spells list it had, it had both spells in English and Russian, since I used these settings while I was playing on one of EU servers back in days...Although some other bars still has the same type of lists. Well anyway now everything is working great again. Thanks Elkano!

Hey there Elkano!
I've been using your lovely addon for some time now. Lately I'm having a problem with one of my bar-group. I'm able to use all of my old(pre cata) settings and all is good, but now when i've created a new group bar(i have set it to target to see some debuffs from my white list, just in case it could be important notice) EVERY time i get logged in to the game i have an anchor of that bar active and i have to disable it. I've transfered my config to another pc and things is ofcourse the same, just can't get rid of that things, please throw me a tip how to fix this up.

sounds strange... like some problem with saving the SVs...
do other changes or new bargroups also vanish next session?

No changes happens to any of my settings apart from an anchor appears to be enabled every time I login with my character, so I have to click on 'show anchor' mark to remove it all over and over and over again.

I meant if you change some settings for one of the existing groups or create a new group, will these be reverted next session, too?
