Getting Started
When you first login with this AddOn you will see a black transparent rectangle with a blue bar labeled 'Default', called the encounter pane, in the center of your screen. Shift+Click on it to move it. From left to right you will see:
- Stop Icon: Halts the current encounter (you should rarely have to do this)
- Menu Icon: Opens the configuration dialog
- Lock Icon: Toggles frame anchors
- Windows Icon: Opens a drop down menu to show interface windows
Also, if you ever hide the pane and can't get it to show, type /dxe to open the configuration dialog. There is also a minimap icon.

Localizations
Please visit the localization page to translate in-game phrases. It is open to anyone with an account. The most important phrases are the chat triggers for bosses, because they start encounters. However, not all encounters are started by chat triggers. The rest of the phrases are for display purposes. The following languages need a maintainer:

I am having a problem with the newer versions where the proximity window is drastically lowering my frame rate in game. Any ideas on what could be causing this?
@warcraftic: It's intended for 10/25 man raids. There is no 5 man support, so you'll have to use DBM or LittleWigs
@wimpyone: It should be working for all modes.
@radighoul: Apparently the Lich King doesn't change targets sometimes, so it's going to occasionally be on the main tank. There's a ticket about this already.
@lyntz: You can make a ticket about this. I might add it.
Dumb question incoming... This replaces DBM and other similar raid addons correct?
Also, do people use other boss mods in conjunction with this to get the boss encounters for the 5-man heroics? Noticed they are not in this - was accustomed to them in DBM.
Could you add 'Pact of the Darkfallen' on others for BQL? It would be handy to know who's running away (sp if you're about to bite someone who might not be where you are expecting them!)
Last night using DXE on the Lich King Heroic 25 encounter we discovered that the Shadow Trap warning wasn't always accurate. It appears DXE gets its information from The Lich King's target at the time of the cast, and sometimes due to latency it thought he was casting Shadow Trap on our main tank despite the actual target being something else such as a ranged caster.
You can watch the arc of the spell graphic to figure out where the cast is going but it's worth mentioning here in case you can find a more reliable way to report the Shadow Trap target.

Totally love DXE! But one thing is really missing which i would really want to see in the future, a <DND> is fighting against Boss X with % and 25/25 Players Alive.
Thats the only point i really want for DXE! :) because the guys who whispering you believe in that if you didnt send something back, you arent fighting a boss.
Would be nice if you could write this on the "to do" list

@mageroxx: Limitation of the encounter. It doesn't trigger a normal combat log event for casting the goo. It only triggers the castbar event for units you have targeted or focused. Just set your /focus to Festergut and you'll always get warnings.
no malleable goo warning as a range dd or healer, only if i'm sticking to the boss in the festergut 25 hc encounter.
@Creylius: The lower bound on it is 40 seconds. It's possible for it to cast 1 to 10 seconds after the cooldown bar ends.
@Rhodair: They're both good suggestions. You should make a ticket so I don't forget about them.
@Elisiya: It outputs through a 3rd party addon. You'll have to configure it using something like SCT or MSBT.
Dominant Mind Cooldown on Heroic mode is off by 3-5 seconds it seems still. Having to guess at this point when it's coming for Lady Deathwhisper.
Also, I meant to ask since I'm honestly not sure if it can be detected or not but possible to add arrows pointing away from ghost spawns or not?
Two options I'd love that should be pretty easy to implement
- Ability to show only boss health bars and not the entire pane like timer and buttons
- Option to connect the boss health bars to top or bottom of alert timers and automatically go the width of the timers. Just to clarify further... if the alert timer icon was 2 wide and the alert timer bar was 8 wide, then the boss health would automatically be 10 wide.
The reason I'd like this is because I'm trying to save as much screen space as possible and would like everything in one spot. At first I just had the timers right below the pane, but quickly realized they'll overlap on any encounter with multiple health bars. It'd be nice if I could have everything as compact as possible. Otherwise best boss mod I've ever experienced and thanks much! =}
Hey! Is it Possible to move the text warnings like "infest casting - 0,02" ? I didn't find any button to move them!
I've muted all sounds across all encounters but still have this annoying shit playing. Ok we get it, you like FF, hurr hurr, but after the umpteenth time of hearing it, it's gettin old.

@Azethoth: Defile on self is when you're standing in it. Defile Casting tells you when it's going to land on you.

@wimpyone: Referring to latest I'm pretty sure there is an addon that puts a giant AGGRO on the middle of your screen. I was going to put a numeric value on the power bar but I couldn't fit it in without making it look ugly. I'll probably add it in at some point.
Referring to 2nd post It's not possible to configure the time at which it animates. You'll have to modify the 'flashtime' number in the encounter file.
Referring to 3rd post 1) Target change is the Invocation timer. I think that's what you want 2) Yeah I've been lazy about adding it in. The Icy Grip and Frost breach always come a few seconds before the Unchained Magic cooldown is done, so I've been going off that. 3) Saurfang, and Gunship Battle have been added in the latest alpha
I am currently Modifying the Alerts and Sounds on the DXE addon to make it more noticeble and to make it easier to adapt your self to each situation, I will have preset flashes for every obstacale, and Completley new Sounds for voidzone/ Adds/ Positioning and what not, I am in desperate need of players to test this though, If you don't mind helping me I will send you a copy of the DXE file its self and the profile you just load it up and your good to go

Also, would it be possible to add a countdown from 10 seconds to zero, adding a /say <insert text, 10 seconds left!> and continuing every second, every time a player has the plague rolling?
I am completely baffled by the defile warnings for lich king. Which is the important one? Defile Casting or Defile on Self? It ought to be Defile Casting warning me that its going to land on me but then whats Defile on Self for? Standing in someone elses defile? Or letting me know that I just got defile and its already too late to run?
Echoing what Ramalina said a couple posts down. Seems the Dominate Mind timer for DW Hardmode is off by a good 3-5 seconds. Not really sure how to exactly pinpoint the time differences between the game and boss mod. >.<
