Decursive key benefits
Ease of use:
- Decursive supports all classes with cleansing abilities and configures itself automatically, it works straight out of the box, no configuration is required.
- Intuitive interface and detailed options, Decursive is suitable for simple usage and power users.
Control what and who you want to dispel:
- Easily Filter out afflictions you don't want to cure or that are useless to remove by class (some are pre-configured). (Such as afflictions affecting mana on non-mana classes, etc...).
- Choose between what you can dispel (magic, curses, poison, diseases, charms) choosing their priority. (this allows you to share the cleansing work with other players effectively)
- Prioritize or exclude members. (keep players, classes, or raid groups in a specific order to cleanse them in order of importance)
Manage Mind controlled units:
- If you are a Mage, a Druid or a Shaman you can Polymorph/Cyclone/Hex mind-controlled players.
- In any case Decursive will allow you to target mind controlled units easily.
- Decursive supports magic charming affect removal for Shamans (Purge and Hex), Priests (Dispel Magic), Hunters (Tranquilizing Shot), and Warlocks (Fellhunter and Doomguards spells).
Don't waste time:
- Your cleansing spell Cooldown is displayed to maximize your dispel speed.
- An automatic blacklist will prevent you from loosing time on players who can't be dispelled. (player 'out of line of sight' for example).
- Decursive choose a logical cleansing order depending on your current position in the raid. (preventing dispel concurrence between players and thus 'nothing to dispel' messages)
React faster:
- Visual and/or auditive alerts when someone needs your attention and can be dispelled.
- Special sound alert when Unstable Affliction is detected and you're about to dispel it.
- Visual and auditive alert when your dispel attempts are resisted or fail.
Integration in any interface:
- Decursive is designed to save screen real estate and to be forgotten when not needed.
- Many options allow you to customize Decursive appearance and interface behavior.
- All Decursive alert colors can be modified making it suitable for color-blind people.
Highly optimized and effective coding:
- Decursive was developed with memory and CPU usage in mind, installing Decursive won't affect your frame rate even in the worst battle conditions.
- Bug free: bugs are not tolerated in Decursive.
In brief, what you get with Decursive is effectiveness, a player using Decursive will always dispel faster than other players.

Decursive is dedicated to the memory of Bertrand Sense known as Glorfindal on the European server Les Sentinelles. He was the raid leader of my guild (Horizon)

My answer may seem improper from a user perspective but it's the only right way to address the problem.
When the engine light of your car starts blinking do you go to the mechanic and ask him to remove the light because it's distracting or do you ask him to solve the real problem?
If some of your add-ons don't have updates they are bound to fail completely in the near future so act now and do what's right instead of ignoring the issue until you can't.
The issues are already reported elsewhere by Blizzard and by addons designed for such purposes. The choice to ignore them or not resides with the individual, not because some pretentious error message from a completely unrelated addon makes it known.
I was wondering if there's a way to stop decursive from telling me that I'm having so and so LUA errors. having that message pop up in my chat every 3 mins is a little tiresome.
Detection of magic abilities is fixed for pally an monks in the current alpha:

You should consider setting Decursive installation to alpha or beta so as to help detect this kind of issue before release time.
Came here to post about the issue with holy paladins as well.
In SOO on a guild run atm to check out the changes, and absolutely NO option came up to dispell on Protectors. Checked out decursive, and no option for magic.
I really hope this gets fixed soon. I love using decursive! It is one of my heavy, ahem, recommendations for any healers in our raid team.
I'll fix this but, in the mean time you can add your magic curing spell yourself using the custom spell options
The latest version as of today, Oct 14, 2014, is broken for Holy Pallies. It will not let Holy Pallies select "Magic" as something that can be cured.
Love the mod. Any chance this can be fixed?
Hello, is there any way to auto-hide Decursive's Micro Unite Frames in raids?
Thank you for your reply to my earlier question. I've since installed Decursive and have been playing with the various options, this has brought up another question which I hope you will help with.
1. I'm unsure if mind-control is a Charm, Magic, or Magic Charm effect, so I have checked all 3! What I did then was define 2 different counter spells, each handling these same 3 effects, each with a different spell priority, in the hope that if one was on cooldown I could use a different mouse-click to use my other counter-spell, but it doesn't seem to work. Is there a way to do this?
What you want is just 'Charm'. If you check all three then Decursive will alert you whenever a unit has a magical debuff...
Now if you want to be able to use several spells for the same kind of debuff you need to check 'Allow internal macro editing for the above spell' before adding your spell. Then edit the 'Macro text' field accordingly to include several spells using modifiers.
I hope it's ok to post this usage question about Decursive......
I'm looking for an addon which can be used by ANY raid member during the SoO Garrosh Hellscream encounter to 'identify' mind-controlled raid members. Ideally I'd like to see some sort of grid which clearly shows which raid members are mind-controlled and allows people to click on the grid to target those members (so that they can then interrupt, dps, or heal them). Can Decursive do this?
Thanks
I haven't specificaly tested on the Garrosh Hellscream econconter but it should work. Mind controlled targets are displayed in a specific way on the grid whether you have a spell configured for this kind of affliction or not. You can always target them (middle click by default).
Moreover, you can use the 'custom spell' config panel's tab to use a specific spell on 'Charmed' units, this way, you'll get a proper alert when a player gets mind controlled.
I have a suggestion for future releases, there should be some way to indicate when dispell is off cooldown, as much as I like decursive, I'm a bit tired of spamming right click on it to dispell on fights where I need to do multiple single dispells, it's a waste of efficiency.
A sound, or visual indicator that dispell is now available, that would be nice.
Normally the cooldown is shown on the MUFs in the same way it's shown on regular spell buttons (the cycling clock style thing with a spark at the end). You want something on top of that or are you not seeing it at all?
As a resto druid, when I cast Symbiosis on a paladin to give him Rebirth, I get Cleanse, which can clear a disease effect. Does Decursive detect this and add diseased players to decursing candidates? I don't see this in the feature list above but I think I see the code supporting this in the LUA source. If it's there, I recommend adding it to the feature list.
Yes it's there. Symbiosisis is fully supported. I haven't updated the documentation for several years...
Not a huge deal but just a comment. Decursive should only support the latest available ACE, that is also downloadable through the Curse Client. I use the nolib version of all my addons so theres not 5 million copies of the same thing. The AceConfigRegistry in the current ACE3 on this site, and AceConfigRegistry in Decursive are not similar. And it warned me of this. So I had to download Decursive itself and rip the version of AceConfigRegistry it wanted from it. In the future could you only mirror the offerings of the ACE3 distribution with nolib. Thank you.
Reason: ACE3 r1105 is set as alpha. While r1104 is set as release.
So nolib ACE3 comes only with r1104 while nolib Decursive wants r1105.
indeed but you could just have set Ace3 to alpha in the curse client to solve this problem which will solve itself automatically when a new release will be tagged for Ace3.
The problem with this is that, effectively, even if you select 'Release' for Decursive itself, you are still getting 'Alpha' addons. If you don't want an 'Alpha' addon, you get a broken supposedly 'Release' version instead.
Decursive may break because the spec of the 'Alpha' library it is built on changes, or developes a bug. While this is obviously out of your control not being the library author, it IS still your decision to include 'Alpha' code in your 'Release' build, effectively making the entire build 'Alpha', as you cannot run Decursive without that 'Alpha' code present.
Conversely, if the 'Alpha' of Ace3 becomes too buggy to have on the system for some reason, then the 'Release' of Decursive becomes useless as a result. Obviously such a thing could happen with the 'Release' build of Ace3 as well, but it is far less likely.
In the end, you are forcing anyone that wants to use the current 'Release' Decursive to use 'Alpha' code, which is not what a person getting a 'Release' version should expect, whether it is obvious (when using no-lib) or hidden (all-in-one download).
For the record, I am a no-lib user myself, and have many Ace3 addons, which updating to an 'Alpha' build could also affect adversely.
How do I get the message for "1000 Lua Errors" away? Is there anyway you can delete the cache or do I have to install the addon again?
