This project is abandoned and its default file will likely not work with the most recent version of World of Warcraft. Whether this project is out of date or its author has marked it as abandoned, this project is no longer maintained.

CARTOGRAPHER HAS NOT BEEN UPDATED FOR 3.3!!!

DO NOT CREATE BUG REPORTS SAYING IT IS BROKEN!

There are no plans to do any major bug fixes for Cartographer (v2 or v3). If there is an update it will only be a minor fix. (It has already been this way since at least 2008.) Cartographer(v2) uses an outdated framework that will not be updated in the case of major breakages so Cartographer(v2) would require a complete rewrite. Neither of the two main developers (Ckknight and Arrowmaster) have the time nor desire to do this currently. Occasionally a new version might be released to include fixes made by other developers or new versions of embedded libraries.

Cartographer is a modular, lightweight, and efficient framework for manipulation of the world map. It is based on Rock and other libraries of the WoWAce community.

Battlegrounds : allows viewing of battlegrounds outside of the zone.
Coordinates : adds coordinates to the bottom of the world map of the player and the cursor.
Foglight : Shows unexplored areas on the map. replacement for MozzFullWorldMap or Unexplorer. Much more efficient, though.
Group Colors : turns all your party's and your raid's POIs into circles colored based on class, and shows a number on them based on their raid group.
Instance Maps : shows maps of instances.
Instance Notes : adds boss notes and such to instance maps.
Look 'n' Feel : allows you to change the transparency, position, and scale of the world map.
Notes : lets you put notes on the map, similar to MapNotes.
Zone Info : on hovering over a zone, it will show the levels of the zone, the instances in the zone, their levels, and the group size the instance is made for (e.g. 5-man, 40-man).

I hate to even ask since I figure the problem is with me and I'm just doing something stupid. But, I have the latest versions of Cartographer and the latest versions of both Mining and Herbalism. I have professions tracking enabled but when I mine a node it's location does not show up on the map.

It used to work fine pre 2.3 and I'd like to get it working again. Like I said, I have the latest versions. Even went to wowace to be sure. It just doesn't work. I've tried putting them in the cartographer folder in Addons and I've tried putting them in outside the Cartographer folder.

Any suggestions would be appreciated.

Odd mini-map problem.
I use WoWAceUpdater to update my Cartographer. I update almost every day, and this problem occuring 2 nights ago (I didn't check last night).

About the time 2.3 came out, I noticed that the adjustment for the mini-map (and surrounding buttons) did not seem to work correctly anymore. Specificially even if unhide the top tool bar (which I normally keep hidden) the top of the mini-map and the tool bar overlap each other. The "automatically adjust" check box doesn't seem to help the situation.

Thoughts? Suggestions?

Apparently I got my mods mixed up. This is being caused by the new Fubar 3.0 for whatever reason. Sorry for cluttering the comments.

MetaMap has KnowledgeBase. What does Cartographer have to provide the same service? Does it track NPCs? Can you search the database for a given NPC and set a waypoint to um? Not just Trainers and Vendors.. but all NPCs... Does the Database Sharing, share all learned NPCs?

ok i downloaded the newest version.. but i cant get it to work... i have done it before but the last time said to put some install.bat thing on & that gave me a virus so can i get some hlp?

Cartographer does not come with an install.bat but Cartographer1 does which is a package of an older version of Cartographer. Goto your addons folder and delete all of these folders if you find them then try installing Cartographer again.

Ok I just uploaded r56068 which has a bunch of minor changes to try and fix these things. I still have no clue how it will work for others since I can't reproduce these errors. Also btw I don't know if you trimed that swatter error log or not but it looks like you're using an outdated version of FuBar but nothing that uses FuBar, if you're not using anything that uses FuBar then you might want to disable it since that version is outdated.

Do I have to download something else for cartogragher to keep track of mines and herbs I gather?

Because at the moment even though I have proffesions enabled it dosent keep track of herbs or mines I've gathered. If someone could answer this I'd really appreciate it.

Yes the Mining and Herbalism modules are not part of the core Cartographer because they were written by other people.

Update, as far as I can tell theres nothing about pois anywhere around that line number in recent versions of Cartographer.

Disable or update Cartographer_Quests from http://files.wowace.com/Cartographer_Quests/Cartographer_Quests.zip

Cartographer_Quests is not part of the standard Cartographer package and your version does not appear to be updated for the latest versions of Cartographer but I think the latest version is, if you still get that error after updating Cartographer_Quests then disable Cartographer_Quests.

I have fixed that but the fixed version is not available from curse right now, you'll have to get the lastest from http://files.wowace.com/Cartographer/Cartographer.zip
