History

AtlasLoot was originally created by Pernicius as a plugin for Atlas and contained a handful of raid loot tables to browse. Unfortunately, Pernicius was unable to maintain the mod, so Daviesh took over and renamed it to AtlasLoot Enhanced to provide a distinction between the two versions. Since that time, AtlasLoot has grown to cover every loot table for every boss, every item set, PvP Items and items for every reputation faction. In January 2010 Hegarol took over the project from Daviesh. Finally, in 2014/2015 Lag completely rewrote the entire addon for AtlasLoot v8.

What is Atlasloot

AtlasLoot Enhanced is an UI mod allowing for loot tables of bosses to be browsed whenever needed within the game.

Below is list of custom modules which are developed and maintained by different author teams.

Features

Atlas Integration: You can easily link to Atlas map browser if your current visited instance loot table has a corresponding map provided in Atlas.
Dressing Room: Control-click items to show them in the Dressing Room.
Price Preview: See the prices for token items like PvP rewards.
Filter: Filter loot tables based on your class or set up your filter manually (NYI).
Instance Loot: All instance loot from every Dungeon (Normal and Heroic) and Raid.
Faction and PvP rewards
Collection Items: Armor Sets (Dungeon, Tier and Crafted), Mounts, Companions, Tabards, Legendary items and more.
Season and World Events: Skettis, Abyssal Council, Ethereum Prison, Feast of Winter Veil, Hallow's End, Brewfest, etc.

To Do

Add skill / source to crafting
Wishlist: Alt-click on any item to add it to the wishlist, alt-clicking on an item in the wishlist deletes it. There are buttons added to the Atlas panel and the loot browser to open the wishlist.
Partial Searching: Allows searching the whole AtlasLoot database for an item where you only know part of the name.
Quicklooks: Bind up to ten loot tables to 'Quicklook' buttons, allowing you to jump to them with only one click.

Slash Commands

'/al' or '/atlasloot' by itself brings up the loot browser.
'/atlasloot options' brings up the options menu.
'/atlasloot reset' resets the last viewed loot table (fixes disconnects when opening AtlasLoot) and moves all draggable frames back to the middle of the screen.
'/atlasloot mmb' toggles the minimap button on / off.
'/atlasloot togglebg' toggles background pictures on / off.

The shift key does work, but you need to hold down the shift key, then move the mouse cursor off and on the item.

One thing I would like to see tweaked is the item compare. I think it should be set up a bit like the way Blizzard does theirs, in that you use the shift key to compare on mouseover. I personally hate having to go into the options, turn it on, compare the items, then have to close it real quick for battle and when I open it, the option is still active. Also, I noticed once that when I tried to compare a 1h weapon, the other 1 1h weapon I had equipped got shoved off the screen so I couldn't see all the stats. I wound up having to de-equip my offhand to see the comparison for the main hand.

It takes time to come up with reasonable drop rates. Thats why we can only add WotLK drop rates very slowly.

You can't get them any more and the Naxx map had to gave the current loot linked to it. We have it still in the mod, commented out, in case Blizzard every resurrect it, but it is not work the memory space at the moment.

Is there any way to switch the skin back to the old one?

I honestly can't stand using this (amazing) addon because that skin is so distracting...Looks retarded.

Normally it is not a problem, because I have 'forward looking' versioning and for trivial Atlas changes I don't release a new version. This time, I had an update due about the same time Dan decided to push his update and it became a bit of a mess.

Atlas is updated so infrequently that I don't see it as a problem, compared to the effort of changing the code path to accept more versions.

After the latest update of Atlasloot Enhanced and Atlas I get an error when I log in. It says that Atlasloot Enhanced is not compatible with my version of Atlas. This pops up every time I log in. If the update to the newest atlas version is not trivial, then please make it only pop up once, or maybe every ten logins, or once per day or something.

As always, great addon.

I was wondering if you'd mind cleaning up the PvP section a little... currently there are "PvP Rewards" categories for levels 60, 70 and 80, which makes sense. There's also a separate "Arena PvP Sets" category which just contains level 70 arena gear, some of which I believe is no longer available.

Seems to me moving the available level 70 arena gear into the "PvP Rewards (Level 70)" section would make sense, and keep folks from stumbling into "Arena PvP Sets" every time they're looking for Furious gear upgrades.

Yes, it definitely needs cleaning up, the current system is a legacy of the mad dash to be ready for WotLK.

Those Ulduar recipes are a really small chance to drop off ALL the bosses in ulduar, so it was easier to put them in a separate section rather than clutter the normal loot table.

ummm the recipe drops USED to say what boss they dropped off of but now they dont.....can we get that back?...i noticed this with the uld. ones
