ArkInventory
ArkInventory (for The War Within)
:boom: Please ensure you are using the latest alpha version if you have the War Within client.
ArkInventory (for Retail, Classic, and Cataclysm)
ArkInventory's display windows are built from "virtual bars", you assign categories to bars so that items in that category are displayed on the specific bars you want. There is no limit to the number of bars you can have inside a window but obviously you only have so much screen real estate before it becomes "too many".
ArkInventory uses several methods to assign a default category to an item such as what professions you have, tooltip scanning, basic type/subtype and PeriodicTable. You then assign those categories to a virtual bar.
You can also over-ride the default category by creating a rule that matches either a single or multiple items.
Overview:
- user configurable window width and height
- separate keybindings for each location for easy viewing
- assign items to a category of your choice (overrides the default assignment)
- assign categories to the bar of your choice
- unlimited number of bars (there are practical limits though before your screen becomes full)
- sort each bar differently if required
- user configurable bars per row
- sell junk items automatically or manually (delete available via a keybinding or right clicking when at a vendor)
- random pet and mount summons. can also assign a group of them to select from
Key Bindings:
- Press ESCAPE to bring up the blizzard menu
- click on Key Bindings
- scroll down to AddOns > ArkInventory
- bind the keys you want to use

:boom: The NoLib variant
it seems quite a few people are somehow getting the NoLib variant from their download client when they didn't specifically ask for it, instead of the full variant, and its causing issues as they don't have the required libraries installed separately. Please ensure you are downloading the full. if you see nolib in the filename then its the wrong variant, unless you are actually installing all of the required libraries separately as well. If you have to you can manually download the full variant from CurseForge, WoWInterface, or Wago.
:boom: Junk Sell getting blocked
While auto-destroy remains blocked, From 30960 onwards you can setup a Key Binding to manually sell and destroy your items. Note that blizzard require one keypress per item deletion, so if you have multiple items that need to be deleted you will need to press the Key Binding multiple times. A message will be output if you have remaining items that can still be deleted.
:warning: Ensure you have backup copies of your saved variables file
Sometimes you cannot revert back to a previous version without a backup, especially alpha or beta versions, so before upgrading please make sure you have made a backup of your saved variables file
Your saved variables file is normally located at ...\World of Warcraft\_client_\WTF\Account\yourwowaccountname\SavedVariables\ArkInventory.lua
It is your responsibility to ensure you have adequate backups of your saved variables file. You dont have to do them frequently, just after you've made major changes to your config is probably fine for most people, but you should get into the habit of making backups because when it does corrupt you wont have to reconfigure everything from scratch.
If you have your download client set to automatically download alpha/beta versions you should definitely have backups.
A simple way to back up the saved variables file is to just do a copy and paste then rename the new file (using the version number of ArkInventory or the date is a good idea), eg ArkInventory-30900.lua, or ArkInventory-20191228.lua
its a simple instant name search. if you need rule functions to work in there it will need to be completely re-written (and it will slow it down), raise an enhancement request if you want.
bags not scaling properly as of 7.3
in what way? window and item scaling seems to be working ok for me.
Great addon the ability to customize and have things sorted makes it so nice, Thank you for your hard work. Only thing i could think that would make it better is do you have/know of a way to make the iLVL show up over the item like other addons have?
should be in the style area, under items
Can anyone help me with currency on the bottom of the window? I read something about ldb and downloaded some ldb/broker addons, but under the ldb tab in the settings, there is nothing.
Blizzard option to track currency is limited to 3 items (wich is bad)
there isnt much in the way of ldb settings in ai (just some formatting), the majority is via the ldb display itself
i use chocolatebar as my ldb display, that just showed all the ai ldb objects straight away and you just right click on their icons to change their settings
Anyone having issues with the Deposit all Reagents button not working? I'm using an older build as since the changes last month I've found the addon unusable. Now with 7.3 the deposit all reagents doesn't work. I'm wondering if there's a quick fix.
Hi there !
Magnificent addon. I was until recently playing without any bag addon, switched to litebag and really enjoyed the bag merging, and then heard about arkinventory. I love addons like this one and weakauras, which give the users tons of options to customize. Don't care about how much time I spend doing this, can't say it bothers me (I even find it fun).
While looking through the options, however, I did not find anything to display the amount of empty slots inside the empty slot frame (when you only show 1). I've seen this on screenshots of Adibags.
If this feature does not exist yet, I hereby suggest it. If not, I'd appreciate if anyone could tell me where it's located. It's a detail, but it's like an itch I need to scratch, you know how it is :P
Thanks for all the work, definitely the best bag addon out here !
Hi getting this when i first start up.
WARRNING>bag[1][1.2][Bag] type is unknown, queuing for rescan
Not sure what going on there,
Same here. Very annoying. Some of my toons spam this 10-12 times!
the game isnt getting the bag type from blizzard so it has to keep asking until it gets an answer.
i think theres an option to turn that warning off
I've been noticing that my bag keeps restacking/rearranging sometimes. Unsure if due to the bags i'm using, triggering this bug, or if a related issue.
Is there a way to set this up so when you right click on say an herb it goes straight into the reagent tab instead of the main bank?
Yes, I know there's deposit all reagents, but that's not what I want to do. It's odd but I have a particular way I sort my bags (to the point that it really annoys me when it messes up) and I don't want to put all my crafting mats into the reagent tab.
Yes, I'm strange, I know.
unfortunately no. while i show both the reagent bank and the normal bank at the same time in the background the bank tab is active so right clicks go there
I figured out a work around, well not with the mod, a work around for my picky OCD. XD lol
Love this mod though! I'm glad Bagnon was broken long enough after the patch that I gave this one a try. lol. (Of course, if this one breaks ever, my bank and bags will be a mess. LMAO)
nvm, i somehow shut off the monitor lol
After the 7.3 update I'm now getting this error:

Ordinarily I don't comment on here much but I love your addon so much and I can't live without it haha. I hadn't seen anyone report this error yet so I thought I'd let you know. Thank you for the amazing inventory addon! :)
Not sure how I got this error in the first place but just for future reference for anyone else who may get this error, it seems the crappy Twitch client didn't update ArkInventory properly. I had to delete the addon (settings included, just in case), then reinstall from scratch to get this error to go away. Everything is working perfectly now.
you should never have to remove the settings - no updater should ever touch them. the game itself may occasionally corrupt them when shutting down badly but thats it.
worse case, just make sure youve got backups of your settings so you dont have to go through setting it up from scratch
