ArkInventory
ArkInventory (for The War Within)
:boom: Please ensure you are using the latest alpha version if you have the War Within client.
ArkInventory (for Retail, Classic, and Cataclysm)
ArkInventory's display windows are built from "virtual bars", you assign categories to bars so that items in that category are displayed on the specific bars you want. There is no limit to the number of bars you can have inside a window but obviously you only have so much screen real estate before it becomes "too many".
ArkInventory uses several methods to assign a default category to an item such as what professions you have, tooltip scanning, basic type/subtype and PeriodicTable. You then assign those categories to a virtual bar.
You can also over-ride the default category by creating a rule that matches either a single or multiple items.
Overview:
- user configurable window width and height
- separate keybindings for each location for easy viewing
- assign items to a category of your choice (overrides the default assignment)
- assign categories to the bar of your choice
- unlimited number of bars (there are practical limits though before your screen becomes full)
- sort each bar differently if required
- user configurable bars per row
- sell junk items automatically or manually (delete available via a keybinding or right clicking when at a vendor)
- random pet and mount summons. can also assign a group of them to select from
Key Bindings:
- Press ESCAPE to bring up the blizzard menu
- click on Key Bindings
- scroll down to AddOns > ArkInventory
- bind the keys you want to use

:boom: The NoLib variant
it seems quite a few people are somehow getting the NoLib variant from their download client when they didn't specifically ask for it, instead of the full variant, and its causing issues as they don't have the required libraries installed separately. Please ensure you are downloading the full. if you see nolib in the filename then its the wrong variant, unless you are actually installing all of the required libraries separately as well. If you have to you can manually download the full variant from CurseForge, WoWInterface, or Wago.
:boom: Junk Sell getting blocked
While auto-destroy remains blocked, From 30960 onwards you can setup a Key Binding to manually sell and destroy your items. Note that blizzard require one keypress per item deletion, so if you have multiple items that need to be deleted you will need to press the Key Binding multiple times. A message will be output if you have remaining items that can still be deleted.
:warning: Ensure you have backup copies of your saved variables file
Sometimes you cannot revert back to a previous version without a backup, especially alpha or beta versions, so before upgrading please make sure you have made a backup of your saved variables file
Your saved variables file is normally located at ...\World of Warcraft\_client_\WTF\Account\yourwowaccountname\SavedVariables\ArkInventory.lua
It is your responsibility to ensure you have adequate backups of your saved variables file. You dont have to do them frequently, just after you've made major changes to your config is probably fine for most people, but you should get into the habit of making backups because when it does corrupt you wont have to reconfigure everything from scratch.
If you have your download client set to automatically download alpha/beta versions you should definitely have backups.
A simple way to back up the saved variables file is to just do a copy and paste then rename the new file (using the version number of ArkInventory or the date is a good idea), eg ArkInventory-30900.lua, or ArkInventory-20191228.lua
itemstring ( "battlepet:1515" )
its a string so needs to be in quotes
you can add more of the itemstring if you want to get more specific
Thanky you very much! :D

Help .. please .. I'm too stupid
I use Arkinventory forever .. Thanks for that ..
I need help please .. I would like to set up in Arkinventory Trade SkillMaster areas
So TSM glyphs for example in a separate area within Arkinventory
Can bad english and unfortunately understand the instructions not so on the Internet
Someone has an example for me?
please
Es ist eigentlich ziemlich einfach.
Du musst eine neue Regel anlegen.
Als Formel schreibst du folgendes in die Regel:
Also wenn deine TSM Gruppe Glyphen heißt.
Hello I wanted to ask if it possible to write a macro or another possibility to quickly assign items to categorys like "Trash"? Thanks.
Request / Suggestion
Would it be possible to add the Artifact Power in numbers (like the gear ilvl) on those power up items?
And if you're at it... a sort order for Artifact Power Value would be nice too. :D
Anyway... so far it's one of my "I can't live without it" Addons!
Thank you and keep up the great work!
You should have put a warning (MODIFIED) like some add ons have done GTFO is one that used that.
I spent over 100 hrs setting Ark up when I first got it and I refuse to set it up again :(
If anyone has a profile(s) online I'd be glad to install then and try them!
TY Isollae
OR if anyone can make a RECENT video in english on how to set it up that would be AWESOME!
So I'm not sure what happened, I didn't change the mod. I had a load screen with no load bar and closed the game. After that, all my settings for Arkinventory were gone, my rules, sorting, and categories all gone.
Where are these stored? I want to try looking for them.
Since last tuesday (11/15) this addon started to bug. I tryed everything, but nothing seens to work....
I have to press Update to organize the itens but if I press re-stack all goes to hell...
It was working fine till last tuesday as I said before....
I really like this addon and I don't want to stop using it....

Hi,
Not sure if this is a glitch so thought id ask first.
I'm having a issue with the tooltip count for professions recipes (plans/patterns etc).
In my bag/bank etc the tooltip shows the item count but when i'm at the Auction House if i curse over a plan/pattern/schematic etc that i have in my bank/bag it does not show the tooltip count for some reason.
The odd thing is it works fine for enchanting formulas, they show in the Auction House tooltip but no other profession recipes do.
Any ideas why this is? I've been scratching my head for a while trying to work it out but with no luck.
I originally posted this problem back when the new expansion dropped. Nothing has been fixed or updated to remedy this error.
The first time I open my bags after EVERY login I see this:
[11:06:46] ArkInventory: WARNING> bag [2] in location 1 [Bag] type is unknown, queuing for rescan
and the first time I open my bank after EVERY login I see this:
[11:09:29] ArkInventory: WARNING> bag [8] in location 3 [Bank] type is unknown, queuing for rescan
[11:09:29] ArkInventory: WARNING> bag [7] in location 3 [Bank] type is unknown, queuing for rescan
[11:09:28] ArkInventory: WARNING> bag [6] in location 3 [Bank] type is unknown, queuing for rescan
[11:09:28] ArkInventory: WARNING> bag [5] in location 3 [Bank] type is unknown, queuing for rescan
[11:09:28] ArkInventory: WARNING> bag [4] in location 3 [Bank] type is unknown, queuing for rescan
[11:09:28] ArkInventory: WARNING> bag [3] in location 3 [Bank] type is unknown, queuing for rescan
[11:09:28] ArkInventory: WARNING> bag [2] in location 3 [Bank] type is unknown, queuing for rescan
next version will have an option to turn off the warning message (it will still have to rescan the bag as the game did not return a bag type value)
This warning will not affect the function of Item statistics in that bag, right? One of my Character succeed getting bag type and no longer show the warning, but other Characters keep showing the warning every time I open the bank, don't understand how this happen.
------------------------------------------------------
I tried to debug this addon, and find that blizzard returns [4,11] for bank bags, but function ArkInventory.BagType can't handle [5,11] correctly? since the if/else statements for loc_id doesn't handle Location.Bank?
Been a week since my last post. I'm hoping things get worked out. My settings still bug out. Hell, ...even my font size is damn well determined to ignore what I choose it to stay at.
Every so often I will get annoyed with it and decide to do something about it. I go into the config window, reset the font size by moving the slider back and forth, and then back to size of 10 (Although it feels like forever cause it lags/freezes so much during this process for me). Ok, now, close the window and bags. Open the bags.....BIG freaking font lol. Open the config window again, The bag font shrinks. Open and close the bags. Back to big freaking font and it stays big freaking font until I manually F with the slider again.
I have recently started seeing error messges:
Warning > aborted scan of bag 0 location 1 [Bag] size returned was 0, rescan scheduled...
Warning > aborted scan of bag -3 location 3 [Bag] size returned was 0, rescan scheduled...
This warning repeats10 times then stops. Seems to reliably happen when I port in to the new dalaran.
thats a blizzard bug where they return the bag size as zero, not its actual size. theres an option under workaround > zero sized bug to disable the alert if it becomes annoying
I was wondering if there is an option to display ilvls of gear in inventory?
