WIM (WoW Instant Messenger) is a World of Warcraft addon which brings an instant messenger feel to communication in game.

Known Issues

Addons can not process messages while chat is in lock down. To get around this, WIM logs all events and then rebuilds and processes them once you have excited lock down. During this time, chat is routed as normal to the default chat frame so you don't miss anything. Unfortunately, /r and similar keybindings to reply during this time will NOT work. Allowing the default chat frame to handle these events cause severe tainting issues and breaks everything.
Community Chat is now supported. It comes with limitations though because the sender name and message are protected and can not be read by addons or saved.

Anyone having like Lag with WIM? I'll receive messages with no problem .... then reply but i wont see it pop up 1-5 minutes later

Is there an possibilitie to exclude certain wispers.
Some addons (like lootster) make wispers for recieved rolls. Those popup message windows as well.
Can this somehow be disabled? Or ignored by means of putting in a special Message tag at the start of the message or something?

I was a cellular fan, until it was no longer supported. One of the things I like about it was its minimalist chat window. I would love to have all your benefits as well as have a very plain window with only the tabs like the original. Is this possible? I only see color changes in the skins tabs.

Since the 3.x updates, gets better with every release. Love it, use it, wouldn't dream of logging in without it. It's one of the very few that follows me from computer to computer and one of my answers when asked, "If you could only choose five addons, which ones would they be?"

I am getting this error from WIM and im not sure if its the one causing this problem but on the IM window I can see thin incoming whispers but I cant see the outgoing ones. Is there and addon that can be intercepting this? Anyway here is the error.

I had a problem with not being able to see whispers, and also getting a lua error. Turns out all I had to do was update the newest DBM and the problem went away. Wim working flawlessly once again, thanks

with the latest update i can send messages but i don't receive any. i get the message sound but no messages

Make sure you have the latest DBM. If the issue is occurring even when WIM is disabled... It is definitely not caused by WIM...

Not a WIM error.

Delete DBM, Delete DBM settings files from /WTF/, Reinstall latest DBM.
