So, I just updated to the newest version of Atlasloot Enhanced and upon doing so, all my WIM settings (including history) were erased.

This isn't the first time this has happened, although this is the first time I've actually been able to pin it down to one specific thing.

Any chance of an update to fix the taint errors that are spewing at me?

I have a patch that works. If you extract this ZIP to your WIM version 3.2.2 folder it will put the party leader chat in the party window. It replaces 4 files in the WIM addon to treat the CHAT_MSG_PARTY_LEADER event the same as the CHAT_MSG_PARTY event. Sounds work and everything. Works perfect for me as well. I have reviewed the code and, while I am not an LUA programmer, I am a programmer. It seems solid and no hidden gems found! Great job. May I suggest making your own tree of the WIM addon... that is if you want to take over coding... :-)

I miss a feature.
This will properly sound really stupid, but:

Is it possible you can add so you will not type in the WIM window, but the regular General/Chat window down-left? :)
I need this with an addon that doesn't work well with WIM

If this is already, where to enable/disable?
I have looked it all through, but it seems I can't find it :/

but it started to bug, when if whispers are no longer shown in the chat as it was before only in the window

I'm fairly sure the addon will be updated. :) Many of us forget that during the holidays, everyone (yes, even addon devs) needs a break to spend time with family and friends. :) Sure it's annoying to deal without WIM, but it's doable, and again, a temporary thing. :)

WIM doesn't want to work for me any more so I figure I'll just find something similar... is there any good add-on's out there that are similar to WIM in that they take whispers and such and put them in individual windows? xD

Something changed in the coding of Blizz's chat - (PL) is no longer being directed to the WIM window. I miss quite a few comments this way as I'm not used to having to split my attention between the two windows.

Is there a way to pull (PL) back into the party chat window?

Well, sadly after at least three years of using WIM, I am dumping it. Too much chat spam and inaccurate messages (i.e., no player named ___ is online) being spammed continuously. It's become more burdensome than beneficial.

Seriously hope for an update someday. Till then, it's been fun.

The only problem I have with WIM is
"You are not in a Raid group"
constantly when I'm in arena and frequently while in BG's
