WIM (WoW Instant Messenger) is a World of Warcraft addon which brings an instant messenger feel to communication in game.

Known Issues

Addons can not process messages while chat is in lock down. To get around this, WIM logs all events and then rebuilds and processes them once you have excited lock down. During this time, chat is routed as normal to the default chat frame so you don't miss anything. Unfortunately, /r and similar keybindings to reply during this time will NOT work. Allowing the default chat frame to handle these events cause severe tainting issues and breaks everything.
Community Chat is now supported. It comes with limitations though because the sender name and message are protected and can not be read by addons or saved.

Is it possible to add the functionality to navigate through the text (change cursor position) in the edit field with arrow keys on keyboard?? Navigation through last sended messages with arrow key up/down (like linux command line) would also be very nice.

I had a random issue with WIM. Can't recall what it was, but was related to game crashing and logging back in, and my SV got scrapped. Since then, whenever I log in and WIM is enabled, WOW throws an error about the Tutorial frame. I'm guessing this is something to do with the tutorial from WIM.

Not sure if it's WIMs problem, or another addon conflicting with WIM (which I would have no way to discover, as I have 140 addons), but when I whisper somebody with an item link, when I shift click on the item it posts 2 links into the chat box. This can be really annoying when linking multiple items, because the other person just gets spammed item links. Is this a known issue, or is there any way to fix it?

Last night after the patch I noticed that, while the non party leader messages were going into their WIM window like that had previous to the patch, the party leader messages weren't being caught.

Did anyone else see this, or is it specific to my config?

this thing keeps whispering me it's annoying how do i get it to turn off when i'm walking or in combat i end up getting killed because of the addon whispers i saw an option to filter but it's not working, i keep messaging myself with addon info please help me. Thx appreciate it

WIM has suddenly stopped working for me - it's not in my addon list in game, it's like it's not downloaded at all. I've reinstalled it several times but it hasn't helped.

I love the ability to dock windows in multiple groups, but the windows are kinda bulky and dont suit my UI, is there and addon that would allow me to do the same with the default chat frames? I hate that you can only dock default chat frames to the general chat window

I have a problem. When I link an item, it double links it and delete everything before the item.
For eksample:
"Hey, check this new item out ***link***"

Twice now, when I have logged in, all my settings have been turned to the default settings and all my history cleared.. I am not sure why this is happening and if there is any way to retrieve all my history, that would be greatly appreciated.
