WIM 3.0.9 Release.

This update applies many requests that people made in regards to the new Expose feature in WIM. The border which everyone hated so much is now disabled by default. I also added an option to select which direction the animation executes.

At last, and long requested, I was able to come up with a way for the windows not to close when the world map is shown or when you are zoning in an instance. You're message windows will no longer close and will be waiting for you where you left them for when you return.

The update includes some other minor fixes which have been reported.

In regards to the resizing issue people have been I having, I will focus my efforts on resolving them in the next version. Thank's for your patience, comments and reports.

No problem here when a GM talks to me... I ignore the WM chat button of blizzard, and use the WIM messenger window :)

And u can also try to be a lil more polite ;)

Latest version has problems with windows resizing - the are long and tall or wide and fat or ... there doesnt seem to be a pattern why. PLEASE FIX THIS!!!!

I ALSO agree with Midglock - the GM chat problem is really screwy and breaks things when talking to a GM.

Please remove those black borders when you enter combat... Nothing to do in a social addon like WIM, I already use omen and it's work good.

Anyway it's a good addon, so keep up the good job (and don't forget to delete those borders things :p )

When you open a GM ticket, you cannot reply to the GM that is trying to speak to you in WIM version 3.0.8. It worked in 3.0.7. In 3.0.7 the GM window would come up along with a WIM window and I actually would chat to them thru the WIM window, but with 3.0.8, the GM window will come up, the WIM window would come up, but when i try to talk to them it says "No player Named _________ is playing". I logged, disabled WIM and logged back in and whispered him. No other problems tho. Great addon!

Could you please take the dark borders and make a separate addon? Remember, if an addon does two separate things, then it should be two separate addons. A combat effect does not stack with a social chat window.

Modulate the code, modulate the intents.

I don't have an issue with it sliding out and back in when in combat. Just wish it would actually go back to where I had the window, at the moment it gets stuck near the top of the screen... I looked all over and never found any options for the slide in out thing. at least not yet... Was in a raid when I first saw it happen, didn't have a lot of time to figure it out. haven't had a chance to log in again since.

A nice feature for that would be to have it find the closest edge and slide out there. :) (or give us an option to pick the edge to use. didn't find one yet if it's there)

it's definitely not work the extra work to have it find the extra edge. when I get some time, I will add an option to let you select which direction it slides however. That is definitely a feasible request.

A couple people have reported the window not showing in the correct location. I will look into this.

what's with the square border i see when i get in combat at the edge of my screen with the latest version? That normal, can i remove it?

/wim options then go to Expose. Change the border size to 1. That should suffice till the next version where I add an option for it.

I'd like to say though, the new function of sliding out it's something I LOVE LOL. I know a couple of posts underneath ppl say it's not nice, but I think it's genius, especially in raid!!! So the windows don't stay in the way, nice addin! Any news on the issue I reported? Is it normal? Did it happen already? Can it be fixed?

I agree with the lower poster instead, exit is always last :D

hello,

in the minimap menu,
the "Deactivate Wim" option should not be the first one in the menu,
it should bet the last one.

I have always been a big fan of WIM but a couple of changes that have occured really irk me. First that tabbed messenger boxes was taken away. Now when you get wispers you get pop up boxes all over your screen sucks when you in a raid. Secondly with the latest update. whats with the box sliding in and out of the screen randomly all the time. I am still a really big fan of the addon but would like to see these two items fixes in future realeses.

you have to go into your options to switch on the tabbing option. Just type in /WIM, then go to Tab options and click on "automatically group whispers".

And the reason the box slides in and out of the screen all the time is because you're going in and out of combat.

BTW, did I mention thank you for the update? I meant, tytytytyty for the update :D

Whenever I link an item fron Ludwig or even from my inv I get 2 links instead of one pasted in the chat window. Also, if I type any text be4 the links it gets deleted. If I send one item then try to paste one more it will repaste also the first item with the second one, until I close and reopen the whisper window. Any lights?

Hello,

1. The options in the minimap icon are not translated (in the german version)
2. When i use the option "Show all messages" all windows are shown exactly one over the other.
How can i manage it that the windows are shown cascaded?
I tried out a lot in the options, but the output is always the same (one exactly over the other)...

1. translations are added to WIM as users donate their time and send me updated translation files.

2. sounds like you have the cascade option off. /wim Window Settings, and check cascade windows. Let me know if that fixes your problem.

Just want to add, a window is positioned only upon creation. Simply changing your options wont move the windows. You will have to end the conversations. Simply hiding them will not invoke placement methods.
