It doesn't seem to be saving whisper history on newly connected realms. EG: If I'm on my Dath'remar characters it's not saving whispers from Aman'Thul, and if I'm on my Frostmourne characters it's not saving whispers from Jubei'thos. Unless I'm missing a setting somewhere
Is there a way that I can shift-click items to preview them in WIM like you can in normal wow messages or chat? It currently doesnt work for me.
Thanks!
Hi, i dont see my whisp chat log anymore in the WIM log section. Is there an issue?
Is there a way to setup WIM so that if someone messages the Community Channel that I have setup (channel 4) that it will popup like it does for Guild, Instance and Whispers? I thought you could do it from the "Custom Chat" window in settings but there is only channel 0 listed and I have no way to add or modify the section. Thanks for the help!
When sending a large message that is broken into multiple pieces they are delivered out of order. For example if I write:
What it will actually read like is this:
This error is seen both on my end as well as the recipient of the conversation.
The old "click to update" button was rendered useless since the /who api changes, but would it be possible to use that button to send a /who request? An addon can still do a /who request with a hardware event, such as a click. For those I've whispered, their name is usually already in the chat window so I can shift click that name, but others that whisper me, I have to manually type out a /who.
Hey, when WIM is enabled I dont see the DND/AFK Messages from people. Is there an option I dont see?
Hello!
i recently got into RP and most of them are through whispers since i'm not that good yet.
I was saving the complete history of those conversations, to look them up again and thinking about what to make better, that worked perfectly even with a really huge conversation. But now, a few days ago wim didn't record everything anymore, barely anything tbh.
I didn't mess with the addon options, so i'm kinda surprised at the sudden change :o
Anyone got any tips?
In reply to Forge_User_36465112:
The .lua file probably got too big. You can try backing up the .lua file and then delete old conversations. I think once the file gets below 2.5mb in size it should start saving again.
Hey there, I'm not sure what I did, but I got this error:
If I have installed RCLootCouncil doesnt show me the chat. :C
with new update I cant see my own writing on the chat.
Every time I sent a whisper, I get this error. I use WiM and Prat so I'm not sure which addon is at fault:
In Tab Management, I have "Automatically group whispers." checked, "Automatically group chat windows." checked, and "Group with whisper windows." checked. Occasionally, even with these settings, some whispers (not all) will end up in their own window. I'm using the latest version according to Twitch client.
In reply to SimGuruTrev:
What I've noticed: chat windows (say/guild/raid) are added to whisper group , if an whisper window was already open, but not the other way aroud. If we have a chat window open (say/guild/raid) a new whisper will create a new group.
An fix I found is to change line 128 in Modules\TabManagement.lua to:
Back in Retail, I use to be able to right click the wim icon to bring up a link to all my whispers history.
Now in the Classic version I can not find any way to do that.
In reply to WoWEye:
If you right click the minimap icon, the menu pops up and you can click the 4. option called History Viewer.
Another option is to use the slash command /wim history .
In reply to humfras:
the button appears to be clicking, but nothing happens, no options, no nothing.
In reply to WoWEye:
Try Shift+Right-Click, seems like if I have the <Right-Click> to show undread messages option enabled, I have to Shift+Right-Click the minimap icon to get the menu up.
In reply to dogspit:
Oh yes, that works, Thank You
