SpamageMeters

SpamageMeters is a simple addon that suppresses chat messages from damage meters like Recount and instead provides a chat-link to provide the blocked damage statistics in a popup.

Currently this project supports meter output from Recount, Numeration, TinyDPS and Skada, but we will accept feature request to add more addons.

Please use the ticket tracker for any feature requests or bugs encountered: Note that the authors do not currently play WoW at the moment, but are still keeping track of this addon. A ticket is the fastest way to report a bug or request a feature or toc update.

Some Remarks:

This addon has been tested with Prat and Chatter, and should work. Other chatmods haven't been tested though, so if you encounter any issues, please file a ticket.
After encountering the start of a damage report ("Recount - xxx" line), the addon will by default only check the first following second for damage output. If you find that SpamageMeter does not capture all output (in case of extremely large reports or people throttling output) increase the "Capture Delay" slider found on the option panel.
The addon is tested and works together with WIM, but due to the way WIM handles whispers, the damage meters are only suppressible by SpamageMeters but not compressible.

Because of the new versions, some localizations are missing or incomplete. It would be greatly appreciated if someone can translate some localization for this addon. Languages still needed: Latin American Spanish, Italian, Brazilian Portugese. We also need a few more sentences for French, Korean, Russian and Spanish.

i'm still not able to view the popup window and there is no chat link for me. mods i'm using that may be conflicting:

i'm using the latest downloads for both of those.

Ok, so this addon is the greatest addon ever. I was browsing Curse, looking for spam addons to figure out how they capture from chat, to write an addon to delete recount spam! You've done that and more! I'd have never though of the popup link. Only problem is, the link doesn't work for me. I'm using prat (v3.1.5). Disabling prat it works. So I'm guessing it's a conflict between the 2. How did you get it working with Prat?

We are aware of the problem with Prat and working on it. We already fixed some problems with Prat, but apparently something still isn't working as it should. We will try to fix it within the next update. Thanks :)

Thanks, Prat is a necessity for me. Then again, so is this! So it's a debate of, do I disable prat, or just deal with the links not working LOL

We have fixed the issues with Prat 3.0 on our latest release. If you encounter more problems with SPM and Prat, please let us know using the ticket tracker.

There's a setting in the 1.0 version that allows you to increase the time the addon looks for report lines. Increasing this should fix the throttling issue.

With a help of a few guildies, I was able to test this tonight and worked great :)

Only problem was 1 person reporting "damage done" throttled the report to be sent in pieces of 9, so I first got a report for 9 people(the link was clickable), then I got a solo line for the 10th person(it displayed the normal way).

I try it last night in Naxx-25, only the recount header line show in chat frame, the window with result don't pop (off combat).
On first look i don't tell it error form this addon (as i use lot of addons).
Only error i see pop are link with Broker_Money(variable for icon size).
New bartender version this morning (correct taint on other addon).
I return more info when i have time to do more test :)

I try it now, as i use Prat and many other addon i send report when i log off later today. Good idea, in raid after boss kill so many message pop, i need scroll back to see recount or other info.

Ho idea just pop, can do same for roll (when not in combat)?

As far as I know there are already addons that summarize roll stuff (my raideader uses one for /roll, and for simple need-greedrolls, I'd suggest GreedBeacon)
