Skada Damage Meter
Skada Damage Meter
Skada is a modular damage meter for World of Warcraft with various viewing modes, segmented fights, and customizable windows. It is designed for efficiency with minimal memory and CPU impact.
"Skada" is Swedish for "Damage".
Midnight Edition (WoW 12.0+)
This version of Skada is updated for World of Warcraft: Midnight and uses Blizzard's new session-based combat systems.
Features
- Midnight Optimized: Uses Blizzard's internal session data for performance and accuracy.
- Combat Reliability: Handles modern combat data restrictions for a stable experience.
- Updated UI: Includes new presets with smooth animations, gradients, and textures.
- Dynamic Elements: Alternating row colors, highlight overlays, spark effects, and icon scaling.
- LDB Integration: Compatible with Data Broker displays such as Titan Panel, ChocolateBar, and ElvUI.
- Extensible Architecture: The API allows developers to create additional plugins.
Usage
Getting Started
A default window is created upon first load. Access the configuration menu by clicking the cog icon on the window title bar or via the minimap button. Select Configure to access settings.
Multiple Windows
Skada supports multiple windows. Create new ones under the Windows section of the configuration panel. Windows can be:
- Bar: The standard customizable meter.
- Inline: A horizontal line for custom UI setups.
- Data Text: For LDB displays and minimal setups.
Navigation
- Left-Click: View more detailed information.
- Right-Click: Return to the previous view.
- Mousewheel: Scroll through lists.
- Tooltips: Hover over bars to see additional context and shortcut keys (e.g., Shift-click for targets).
Themes
Manage window designs with the built-in Theme Engine. You can import and export themes by using theme strings.
Versions
- Midnight (Default): For WoW 12.0+ using the Native API.
- Classic Version: The version for older WoW releases.

Posted Aug 4, 2011r328 build issues:
1. New icons (report, mode, segment etc) are a little pale and aligned to bootom of header, not center (http://savepic.ru/2922224.jpg).
2. New window size grip - changes width of window itself, but width of bars stays unchanged.
3. Pressing buttins in report window ("Report" or close window) raises this error - Message: Interface\AddOns\Skada\Menus.lua:377: attempt to index global 'mod' (a function value)

Posted Jul 31, 2011I have it set to not show up in battlegrounds. But it still does. If I click the button to show/hide during battlegrounds, it then disappears like it should. But I have to do this everytime I enter a battleground.
It doesn't stick to show last fight damage. Whenever I log out and back in, it defaults back to show all damage. I then have to change it to show last fight only.
I have Skada Window Buttons installed as well to make it look more like recount. Any chance this mod will be updated as it's over a year old now.

Posted Jul 30, 2011On abilities that deal an initial hit followed by a DoT or Hot (Immolate, Holy Fire, Regrowth, etc.), Skada tracks the crit ticks and ALL initial hits as crits, and the non-crit ticks as hits.

Posted Jul 18, 2011I mean, that our fire elemental (guard) counts in shaman's damage done only in shaman's skada, on other raid\group members fire elemental counts separately. Can you change the addon to count fire elemental in shaman's damage everywhere?
Sorry for repost, but REALLY need it, because of our super 2T11 set.

Posted Jul 7, 2011My only issue with this add-on is that the window itself does not offer preview functionality to show me a specific line of data that I'm mousing over. Unless I make the Skada window very wide or use very small font, lines get truncated. The following is an example of what an individual player's death log would look like on my Skada meter after fighting a boss:
"[Spell icon] [timestamp]: Jin'do the Godbrea... -64.7K"
And this display is only if I uncheck "Health" and "Percent" in the Death Log Columns option to try to eliminate as much info display as possible from the line. The only way for me to know what happened is to send the report to a channel. This is tedious. It would be much easier and more efficient to just pop up the full line of data, without truncation, when mousing over a particular line. The other (less desirable) option is to allow even more options to uncheck in the Columns settings so that as little info as possible is displayed to try to eliminate truncation. Examples would be Spell Icon, Timestamp, and creature name. Again, at least to me, this would be a 2nd choice to a mouseover popup, since I would like to know all of this data as well if possible...it's just secondary to knowing the actual spell name that dealt the damage.
I'm using the Death Log as an example of my problem, but this issue can extend to any window in the app that truncates the lines due to spacial limitations.
Thanks for reading!
