Skada Damage Meter
Skada Damage Meter
Skada is a modular damage meter for World of Warcraft with various viewing modes, segmented fights, and customizable windows. It is designed for efficiency with minimal memory and CPU impact.
"Skada" is Swedish for "Damage".
Midnight Edition (WoW 12.0+)
This version of Skada is updated for World of Warcraft: Midnight and uses Blizzard's new session-based combat systems.
Features
- Midnight Optimized: Uses Blizzard's internal session data for performance and accuracy.
- Combat Reliability: Handles modern combat data restrictions for a stable experience.
- Updated UI: Includes new presets with smooth animations, gradients, and textures.
- Dynamic Elements: Alternating row colors, highlight overlays, spark effects, and icon scaling.
- LDB Integration: Compatible with Data Broker displays such as Titan Panel, ChocolateBar, and ElvUI.
- Extensible Architecture: The API allows developers to create additional plugins.
Usage
Getting Started
A default window is created upon first load. Access the configuration menu by clicking the cog icon on the window title bar or via the minimap button. Select Configure to access settings.
Multiple Windows
Skada supports multiple windows. Create new ones under the Windows section of the configuration panel. Windows can be:
- Bar: The standard customizable meter.
- Inline: A horizontal line for custom UI setups.
- Data Text: For LDB displays and minimal setups.
Navigation
- Left-Click: View more detailed information.
- Right-Click: Return to the previous view.
- Mousewheel: Scroll through lists.
- Tooltips: Hover over bars to see additional context and shortcut keys (e.g., Shift-click for targets).
Themes
Manage window designs with the built-in Theme Engine. You can import and export themes by using theme strings.
Versions
- Midnight (Default): For WoW 12.0+ using the Native API.
- Classic Version: The version for older WoW releases.

Posted Aug 28, 2011Skada SEEMS to be accurate for a priest if they are the one running it, but not for other priests in the raid. Someone else's skada was showing my absorbs and healing today on Majordomo at 11-12k while recount showed around 21k. Considering we were pushing scorpion to 12 or 13 stacks its pretty much impossible that skada's 11k is the correct number. Being a discipline priest obviously this makes skada unusable for me and I've switched to recount.. :'( please fix? Recount is ugly.

Posted Aug 24, 2011I'm not sure of how to help you find out what this might be since I'm in mid-raid right now, but hopefully looking over Absorbs and Heals would be appreciated. It seems to be like this for any class that has absorbs included. =(

Posted Aug 24, 2011This and Recount only got a "hide when in combat" function.. Why is that?
I want it to be hidden when out of combat.
It would be the perfect option (atleast for me) if something like:
"Hide 10 seconds after combat if not mouse-overed".. That would just be.. WOOW! ;)
P.S
Why is it that all DPS meters got different numbers in the end of a fight?

Posted Aug 24, 2011Now, after relogging after raid, I have checked what Skada tells about the damage done by me - and I have only 1 line for Lightning Bolt (and also for Lava Burst), what should be 2 lines. And I have no clue where that page was where I found different IDs separated, don't find it anywhere - maybe this is a bug in how the data is saved in the saved variables?

Posted Aug 22, 2011Also you still haven't fixed the battleground show/hide option. It still stays up when I enter an battleground even though I have the box checked. I have to toggle it off.
