Skada Damage Meter
Skada Damage Meter
Skada is a modular damage meter for World of Warcraft with various viewing modes, segmented fights, and customizable windows. It is designed for efficiency with minimal memory and CPU impact.
"Skada" is Swedish for "Damage".
Midnight Edition (WoW 12.0+)
This version of Skada is updated for World of Warcraft: Midnight and uses Blizzard's new session-based combat systems.
Features
- Midnight Optimized: Uses Blizzard's internal session data for performance and accuracy.
- Combat Reliability: Handles modern combat data restrictions for a stable experience.
- Updated UI: Includes new presets with smooth animations, gradients, and textures.
- Dynamic Elements: Alternating row colors, highlight overlays, spark effects, and icon scaling.
- LDB Integration: Compatible with Data Broker displays such as Titan Panel, ChocolateBar, and ElvUI.
- Extensible Architecture: The API allows developers to create additional plugins.
Usage
Getting Started
A default window is created upon first load. Access the configuration menu by clicking the cog icon on the window title bar or via the minimap button. Select Configure to access settings.
Multiple Windows
Skada supports multiple windows. Create new ones under the Windows section of the configuration panel. Windows can be:
- Bar: The standard customizable meter.
- Inline: A horizontal line for custom UI setups.
- Data Text: For LDB displays and minimal setups.
Navigation
- Left-Click: View more detailed information.
- Right-Click: Return to the previous view.
- Mousewheel: Scroll through lists.
- Tooltips: Hover over bars to see additional context and shortcut keys (e.g., Shift-click for targets).
Themes
Manage window designs with the built-in Theme Engine. You can import and export themes by using theme strings.
Versions
- Midnight (Default): For WoW 12.0+ using the Native API.
- Classic Version: The version for older WoW releases.

Posted Aug 30, 2016If you expand the "Windows" in the configuration, and then choose your window, there will be a whole lot more options. :)

Posted Aug 29, 2016Finally figured out the bug I've been having with Skada. If I swap realms without relogging, Skada completely breaks. Doesn't display names or anything on bars. Just one or two blank bars and then nothing, no matter how many people are in group.

Posted Sep 1, 2016I believe I have the same problem. It happens even if I switch toons on the same realm. How did you fix it?

Posted Aug 28, 2016Sometimes when multiple GBoMs on a target, for example when I had 3 GBoMs on me (2 other paladins and my own) it apparently wouldn't register my damage for my own but would count it for theirs, saw it on Warcraft Logs which had my damage with GBoM about the same as Skada.

Posted Aug 28, 2016Discovered a bug:
If in a group with a priest, who then duels and mind controls any player, for the remainder of that group, including resetting UI, the mind control victim will show as their DPS, and the DPS of the victim will not show up at all as their own individual.
Screenshots Puushed below.

Will submit a log if I remember after.
EDIT: Log showing how it should be represented.

Posted Aug 27, 2016Hello,
Army of the Dead takes and keeps Greater Blessing of Might damage as it's own, and it is not assigned to the casting Paladin.

Posted Aug 27, 2016Also, if related. When 2 Ret Paladins are in raid, with the same targets Greater Blessing of Might'd, it reflects the amount of hits incorrectly.

Posted Aug 27, 2016Hi there,
Just quick question, since the latest update ive found that skada is running at upwards of 15mb memory.
Has anyone else found this, and what could have caused this as that is seriously heavy :s.

Posted Aug 27, 2016This is likely because I accidentally changed the default number of saved fight segments to 20, from the previous 10. It will be changed back in the next release, and until then you can just change this yourself in the configuration.
Also, if you're short on memory, you can always just disable those modes you are not interested in - they will then not save any data.

Posted Aug 27, 2016Ah ok, thank you. I will take a look at this and see.
I just like to keep my memory usage low given the heavily customised UI :s.

Posted Aug 25, 2016I dont know if someone already mentioned this.
Skada doesnt register all sunfire and moonfire ticks cast by druids. According to the combat log, they tick 12-13 times and skada only register like the first 4-5 ticks and then stop.

Posted Aug 25, 2016Are you certain your Skada has not ended the segment before the missing ticks?

Posted Aug 25, 2016I have no idea how it is supposed to work.
This is the combat log from using sunfire once to the raid target dummy:
Your Sunfire hit Raider's Training Dummy 6718 Nature.
Your Sunfire damaged Raider's Training Dummy 3359 Nature.
Your Sunfire damaged Raider's Training Dummy 6719 Nature. (Critical)

Your Sunfire damaged Raider's Training Dummy 3360 Nature.
Your Sunfire damaged Raider's Training Dummy 3360 Nature.

Your Sunfire damaged Raider's Training Dummy 3359 Nature.
Your Sunfire damaged Raider's Training Dummy 3360 Nature.
Your Sunfire damaged Raider's Training Dummy 6719 Nature. (Critical)
Your Sunfire damaged Raider's Training Dummy 816 Nature.
Skada only report 24.9K damage and 2 critical. The segment stops after 6-7 sec, but the sunfire damage ticks for 18 sec.

Posted Aug 25, 2016Skada ends the segment when you exit combat, which normally only happens when you or the mob you attacked is dead.
Training dummies are an exception because they won't keep you in combat for dots, you have to continue to actively attack them - otherwise combat will end and Skada will stop aggregating dot damage. Try your test again with your character auto-attacking the dummy until the dot falls off.
