Skada Damage Meter
Skada is a modular damage meter for World of Warcraft with various viewing modes, segmented fights, and customizable windows. It is designed for efficiency with minimal memory and CPU impact.
"Skada" is Swedish for "Damage".
Midnight Edition (WoW 12.0+)
This version of Skada is updated for World of Warcraft: Midnight and uses Blizzard's new session-based combat systems.

Usage
Getting Started
A default window is created upon first load. Access the configuration menu by clicking the cog icon on the window title bar or via the minimap button. Select Configure to access settings.
Multiple Windows
Skada supports multiple windows. Create new ones under the Windows section of the configuration panel. Windows can be:
- Bar: The standard customizable meter.
- Inline: A horizontal line for custom UI setups.
- Data Text: For LDB displays and minimal setups.
Navigation
- Left-Click: View more detailed information.
- Right-Click: Return to the previous view.
- Mousewheel: Scroll through lists.
- Tooltips: Hover over bars to see additional context and shortcut keys (e.g., Shift-click for targets).
Themes
Manage window designs with the built-in Theme Engine. You can import and export themes by using theme strings.
Versions
- Midnight (Default): For WoW 12.0+ using the Native API.
- Classic Version: The version for older WoW releases.

Posted May 5, 2014Works fine on my mage - with 50% buffed haste I see all 6 ticks.
Note that if you test on a target dummy, you need to cast some other spells to remain in combat while it ticks, otherwise combat will end before the debuff expires and the segment will be truncated.

Posted Feb 16, 2014Do not use the addon SkadaHealAbsorbs! It's not needed any more, Skada handles all absorbs itself. If you install SkadaHealAbsorbs, many absorbs will be counted double.

As far as I know there is no plugin that does it for Skada - though it is certainly possible to write one. I actually started on one, but lost interest at some point.

Posted Feb 6, 2014Is there a way for Skada to share and merge results with other players to get a better/realistic picture of damage/healing done on split fights?
Easy examples, Immerseus, Galakras and Spoils where players are split but several are running Skada - any way for 1 Skada to "talk" to the other, compare data (to figure out where collections stopped, merge pertinent info) and then give a result?
For some reason, I thought that Skada did this, I could swear it did back in Cataclysm but I'm seeing no mention of it anymore, there's nothing in settings to set that functionality up and it's definitely not doing it by default.
If Skada can't do it (with plugins even), is there another addon I could grab which does? Thanks again.

Posted Feb 1, 2014I am having a couple of issues with Skada profiles and segments.
When I go to profiles and select copy from an existing profile Skada resets the layout to the original out of the box default and also resets the layout from the copied profile.
eg. On my warlock I configure the layout and then go to my warrior and select copy form warlock and it resets both the warrior and the warlock profiles.
The next issue is that when I log on Skada resets the segment to Total rather than Current Fight.
Is anybody else have these issues, or is there a simple step I may have missed?

Posted Jan 20, 2014Is it possible to break down abilities that have DoT components? In particular Deadly Poison (DoT) and the on-hit Deadly Poison proc are merged, making like 60% of my damage look like the same ability. It would be great if at least the tooltip in the damage detail could show 'Tick Hit'and 'Tick Crit' for DoTs and normal Hit/Crit for non-periodic. Would be helpful for many abilities like Hemorrhage, Crimson Tempest, Rake, Rejuvenation and Regrowth.

Posted Jan 18, 2014I would just love to know how to move it from the center of my screen, pretty annoying to have no tool tip or anything to tell me the most simplist of things like moving it. Click drag, nope that doesn't work. shift click drag, nope that doesn't work either. If your add-on can't blantly say "Hey i'm difficult to move, because click and drag is just to damn hard to implement as a feature here is how you do it" not sure if it's really that much better than TinyDPS. Because guess what, Tiny DPS is easy click and drag.

Posted Feb 13, 2014Skada should also be click and drag - on the title bar. There is an option to lock it in place, but by default that is not turned on. If you click the cog wheel there should be an option for locking - see that it is unchecked.

Posted Jan 12, 2014I have problems with Skada. When its enabled logging out takes much longer than when its not enabled. additionally wow freezes for 3-5 seconds before logging out. Any tips to fix?

Posted Jan 12, 2014I would love to see a greater range of possibities in the Bar Height and Bar Spacing options. I like to have my bars as tiny lines with space between and large font, and to do that I have to go into the LUA and change the min value lower than 10 manually every time you update. If you could just set that value to 1 and the spacing max value a bit higher, that'd be really great. (I don't personally need that much spacing, and I only bring my bars down to 5 because that's what I use, but it's just as simple to give players as much customization as they could possibly want).

Posted Nov 21, 2013Is there anyway to differentiate or seperate different sources of damage that share the same name? For example on my warlock, I would like to see Chaos Bolt's initial damage and the dot generated by the Sacrifice talent seperate (Recount already does this) so I get a more accurate readout for my average CB strikes. Same thing but maybe harder to read, I want to see the two different Soul Fire spells that change from Caster form to Meta form. Anyone know if this is possible?
