Skada Damage Meter

Skada is a modular damage meter for World of Warcraft with various viewing modes, segmented fights, and customizable windows. It is designed for efficiency with minimal memory and CPU impact.

"Skada" is Swedish for "Damage".

Midnight Edition (WoW 12.0+)

This version of Skada is updated for World of Warcraft: Midnight and uses Blizzard's new session-based combat systems.

Combat Reliability: Handles modern combat data restrictions for a stable experience.
Updated UI: Includes new presets with smooth animations, gradients, and textures.

LDB Integration: Compatible with Data Broker displays such as Titan Panel, ChocolateBar, and ElvUI.
Extensible Architecture: The API allows developers to create additional plugins.

Usage

Getting Started

A default window is created upon first load. Access the configuration menu by clicking the cog icon on the window title bar or via the minimap button. Select Configure to access settings.

Multiple Windows

Skada supports multiple windows. Create new ones under the Windows section of the configuration panel. Windows can be:

Bar: The standard customizable meter.
Inline: A horizontal line for custom UI setups.
Data Text: For LDB displays and minimal setups.

Navigation

Left-Click: View more detailed information.
Right-Click: Return to the previous view.
Mousewheel: Scroll through lists.
Tooltips: Hover over bars to see additional context and shortcut keys (e.g., Shift-click for targets).

Themes

Manage window designs with the built-in Theme Engine. You can import and export themes by using theme strings.

Versions

Midnight (Default): For WoW 12.0+ using the Native API.
Classic Version: The version for older WoW releases.

Does Skada not store the window positions in the Skada.lua settings file anymore??? seems its all positioned are different now across toons

Hmm seems for some odd reason positioned were being saved to the layout-local.txt file but deleting them fixed it

To me it seems that skada stores the positins now with profiles by character, as it - in my opinion - should be. Check the profiles settings, whether you can copy profiles ...

Hello, before the last update my configuration was 2 windows (DPS + Threat) showing only 5 bars each window. After the update I'm not able to configure 5 bars anymore or at least I cannot find a way to do it, is still possible to do something like that?. Thanks for this great addon.

I have my skada windows on the right side of my interface. So the left-justified title bar text seems kinda ... misplaced.

Please put it back to the center. Or give an option for the alignment. Or tell me which line of the code i've to edit ^^

Found a (the) solution meanwhile: This behaviour disappears after rescaling the Skada-window, window is freely moveable then. Thanks anyway!

Hi, i use a relatively large monitor (2560x1440) and it is not possible to move the skada window to the lower third - it gets stuck at a certain point and stays in the middel of the screen.

goin back to previous release, i gave up on trying to make the new version fit into my UI due to reasons posted already (size restrictions and resize function not workin properly)

With the new Title Bar, its easy to report , select mode, etc. But since the new title bar, i no longer see the little Wheel (config icon), in the upper right hand corner to allow reporting when you choose to keep the Title Bar hidden.

Is there a /slash command to pull this up? Currently i have to /skada config, enable the title bar, then i have access to the reporting options.

Is there any way to have a bar at the top of the list showing the total of the stat being showed? (For example, the total DPS of the group in which you are.) Would be just the sum of the bars, and I find this information very useful to know the performance of my group or raid in many aspects (dps, healing, interrupts, etc.).
