Skada Damage Meter

Skada is a modular damage meter with various viewing modes, segmented fights and customizable windows. It aims to be highly efficient with memory and CPU.

"Skada" is Swedish for "Damage".

Note: I took a tiny break from WoW (a decade), but recently started playing SoD. Be aware that this addon may not quite work yet.

Usage

When you first start using Skada, there will be a window created by default. This window can be extensively customized in Skada's configuration panel; click the little cog icon to access a menu, and then click Configure. Depending on your user interface, there may also be a minimap button allowing quick access to this menu.

Skada supports multiple windows. To create a new window, click Windows in the addon's configuration panel. There are three built-in types of windows - Bar, Inline, and Data text. Bar is the classic damage meter window, and is very customizable. Inline shows the meter in a horizontal line, which can be useful for integration in custom user interfaces. Data text shows just one item at a time, and can also be displayed by any LDB display addon, such as Titan Panel, ChocolateBar, or ElvUI.

In the normal Bar window, you can left click on specific items for more detailed information, and right click for less details. At the very "top" is the list of all saved fight segments. Some data modes have several detailed information views. In this case you choose alternate views by holding certain keys pressed while clicking. For example, in Damage mode, you can Shift-click a player to see what enemies the player caused damage to. Tooltips will display how to reach the different views.

You can also use window buttons for selecting fight segment and mode directly.

Scrolling in Skada is done with the mousewheel.

Plugins

Skada is easy to extend, and there were once many extra plugin addons out there that add functionality. However, there are unlikely to be any maintained ones currently.

Seems Skada is sort of broken. Every time I log out, the next time I log in I need to reload Skada or else it won't collect any data.

Any reason why this is happening? Might be worth telling that I have a 'damage' tab and a 'healing' tab.

Guess it's back to Recount..

if you have had skada for a long time , id reccomend deleteing it and reinstalling , as the changes made over the years might have built up errors for you. also try doing a ui reset. Skada is workign I assure you.

I've had Skada for a week now, since I added a second window it requires me to reload the ui everytime after I log out. Any idea what's up? If you think it's something with my Skada I suggest you google the problem, more people like me with the same problem.

Hi there,

I got a little problem with skada, when I check the option " Hide When solo" , when I go for a dungeon or raid..the window doesn't appear..but skada is collecting data..how can I fix this?

I love this addon, it is a lot lighter then Recount, which helps my FPS. However I have had to stop using it. Since patch 5.4 it appears to be incompatable with Deadly Boss Mods. When I am running both, Skada blocks DBM's warnings, and timing bars. Since my Guild requires DBM, I had to remove Skada and go back to Recount, until a fix can be found.

I have a similar problem, but mine only works on one toon. No mattrer what I do, it doesn't present any data except for the toon I set it up on.

My skada has stopped displaying on ONE character on ONE server for me. It only has the top bar and looks different than normal. It has the options buttons but when i deal dmg nothing shows up, it doesnt even have any options under the mode. Ive reinstalled it, deleted it from that characters WTF folder etc, what can i do to fix this, i really dont want to have to use recount....

Most likely you have a badly configured or corrupted profile. Open "/skada config", go to the profiles menu, select the "Default" profile and hit "Reset Profile".

Skada show the Tier 16 Shaman 2 piece set absorb form Earthshield to the Tanks segment.

Nature Barrier or something .

Can you advise if this is something you can adjust to show as the shaman's healing not the tank as I would like this corrected too...

I have two window setup, one for heals and the other for DPS. My problem is I can get them to show but they both don't work until I reload my screen. (/reload) Any ideas?

that is ok to see the damagemeter, but not ok in the Petbattles, if an function inside to disable skada in petbattles? When not, then possible something to make?

I'm having the same issue as the_only_viper, in SoO fights aren't saving, I only get options from current fight and total. Everything works normally in ToT, I get new segments for each boss.

Tried deleting and reinstalling and it didn't fix it. My friends say that theirs is working normally.

Hi,

Updated to latest release, but still fights don't get saved in SoO. Only can see current fight, and the saved fights are only from ToT.

Any way to fix this?
