About
Cryolysis 2 is sphere mod for mages that automates many common tasks and provides for an easy to use interface for casting spells. Cryolysis 2 provides you with a 10 circular buttons that surround an larger center sphere. The buttons are as follows:
- Food and Water: Allows easy conjuring, trading, and consuming of food and water.
- Mana Gem: Allows easy conjuring and consuming of mana gems.
- Evocation: Dedicated button for using Evocation.
- Mount: Allows easy use of your mounts.
- Teleport and Portal Menu: Organizes and provides easy access to your teleport and portal spells. Each city has it's own button.
- Buff Menu: Organizes your buffs into one easy to use menu. Buff buttons also have reagent counts where applicable.
- Custom Buttons: Three completely customizable buttons that can be assigned to spells, items, or macros.
Cryolysis 2 also comes with a full configuration menu that can be accessed by right-clicking the main center sphere, or by typing /cryo in chat.
Additional features include:
- Funny messages when using your mounts, teleports, portals, and several other spells. These can be toggled on and off as desired.
- Automatic reagent restocking
Past Versions
Cryolysis 2 is now the official release download.
Barring any unforeseen problems, Cryolysis 1 ("Revived", "Reborn", "New Beginning") will no longer be updated/supported. If there is a specific reason(s) you're using Version 1 and need a hot fix to keep it working, you can post here in comments (make sure you note that you are referring to Version 1) or send any member of the team a private message through Curse (list is in the top right corner), and we will try to implement fixes as time permits.
FAQ
- Configuration Menu
To open the Configuration Menu, right-click the Main-Sphere. If you have hidden the main sphere, you can get a list of of commands by typing "/cryo". - Custom Buttons
Custom buttons can now use either spells, items, or macros. Make sure when setting up the custom buttons that you select the correct type (ie: spell, macro, item) and that you press Enter after typing in the name. If you don't press enter, your changes will not be saved. - Spell Timers
Timers have not been implemented yet. As such, the spell timers option should be turned off in the configuration menu for now. These will be implemented sometime after patch 2.4. - Messages/Speeches
Currently, Short Messages have not been implemented. There are a number of different options to display random messages:- USER: Messages will display for you only. Mildly useless, but the functionality is there.
- WORLD: Messages will display for /raid, bar that /party, bar that /say.
- GROUP: Messages will display for /raid, bar that /party, bar that it will remain silent. Old Cryo1 Behavior.
- RAID: Messages will display for /raid, bar that it will remain silent.
- PARTY: Messages will display for /party, bar that it will remain silent.
- SAY: Messages will display in /say.
- Localizations
To help localise Cryo2 in your language, download Cryo2 from WoWAce, edit your locale file in the /locales/ and send it to us. Files should be encoded in utf-8.

User input is very important, so please post here anything related to the mod's functionality with as much detail as possible. Please only post Cryolysis 2 errors, as the original Cryolysis will no longer be getting updated Thanks.

i look for addons for mage and find cryolysis may be great for me.
but there are some problem to use.
it is line 3736 at Cryolysis2.lua,
spellRankText , spellRankNumber = strsplit(" ", spellRank)
in Korea, we call $spellRank like "3 Level". it may opposed to english and other western language like "Level 3"
i don't know about lua language and wowapi. so please correct it.
i think you can check return value of strsplit() is number or not.
in addition, i want to give you my localized files for Korean. how can i send you?

im using Cryolysis since it was developped. With the new Patch there is one Feature im missing in the New Beginning Version, the Ritual of Refreshment.
Is there a possibility to include that into the New Beginning Version or to configure the Cryolysis2 AddOn to appear exactly as the old one? because thats exactly what i need.

You have to type the spell EXACTLY the way it appears in your spell book, it has to be exact as if you were scripting. Take spellsteal for instance. It would be "Spellsteal" . Notice the capital letter. Notice it's not 2 words and just one. It's that precise. All the spells are capitalized. If it's 2 words type it that way. Pay attention to detail. After you put the spell name in press enter. Voila! it's done.

aus "localisation en francais" leite ich ab, dass es um die lokalisierung in deiner sprache geht. würdest du weiter unten lesen, wüsstest du die antwort. dass es noch net lokaliert ist, weiß der autor selbst ;)

Posted Dec 16, 2007Ok one thing you guys might be able to do I dunno. Is there a way you could put in an option on the mount button to choose the mount it loads? I just got my Netherdrake and it loads but only if my Gryphon is not in my bags. Any kind of function you could add so that we can choose to have which mount it loads would be awesome. Thanks guys and I can't wait for the next update.

Posted Dec 16, 2007Interesting idea...I could have it make a list of all your ground mounts and all your flying mounts that it finds. Then you could choose which mount you want the button to use.
I'll add it to the to-do list.
As far as coding goes and the next release, I haven't had time to work on Cryo2 lately. I have finals this upcoming week, so after those are done I'll be able to start working on it again.

Posted Dec 15, 2007Just got the first beta, I wanted some more functionallity b4 moving to it. It all seems nice but... what happened to picking spell/drink-eat/sheep for the main sphere button? I have been using it for sheep since day one and I would miss terribly the old funcionality.

Posted Dec 10, 2007First of all, This addon rulez xD But there's one thing thats bugging me: I don't have a middle mouse button... Is there any way to change the button assignment for trading conjured food/water? Necrosis used Ctrl-Click to trade Healthstones, kind of a better solution for people without a middle mouse button :P

Posted Dec 9, 2007If you want to have one of the custom buttons use Invisibility, you type in Invisibility and hit enter. If you want it to use remove lesser curse, you type in Remove Lesser Curse and hit enter, etc. Make sure you spell the name exactly right or it won't recognize it.

I try to translate cry2 into german. All works nice but not the gems.
I can use all gems that i've conjured manually (spellbook, buttonbar) in the gemmenu by left click.
But i can't conjured them with cry2 by right click. it doesn't fired an error or something. it do nothing :)
i think the problem is function to cast them.
In english its "conjured xxgem" but in german it's "xxxgem conjured".
I hope you can help me Paene.

Posted Dec 8, 2007Just a heads-up, I'm planning on cleaning up the config menu in the next release. Ordering/grouping things better and making things easier to understand. No functionality should be affected by these changes, it's just an attempt to help reduce the number of questions being asked.

Just did a little looking into the code, first time since getting this newest version, very nice and clean :)
However I am still getting the problem with the Flying Broom showing as my flying mount instead of the flying machine, I'm not sure why.
According to the code it checks and then loads the proper icon and tooltip, mine only show the broom but when clicked will mount the Flying machine. I've never had a flying broom or any broom at all on this toon. Unfortunately deleting everything isn't working so i am not sure if I am missing anything.
Not really a breaking function just more of a pet peeve lol

I tried hiding the mount button a few times last night and reloading my UI after doing a complete uninstall of Cryo and reinstall.
The only change is now the tooltip shows the Flying Machine, guess it's some progress lol.

Posted Dec 7, 2007I know that the timers are still in progress but sum of them are working. however just letting you know that Presence of Mind does not appear on the timer bar. And occasionally I get a weird bug where my mounts won't appear on the mount button but the Hearthstone ability is available. Just letting you know and keep up the great work.

Posted Dec 6, 2007Quick apology for the lack of updates, the last few weeks of the semester (college) are always hectic. I finally managed to get a little time and have begun coding the spell messages. I can now guarrantee that they will be customizable using the same system Cryolysis 1 had. I may even add more tags for more customization options in the future.
Debuff timers are still on hold, and I have a list of other features I plan on getting in for the next release.
As some of you may have noticed, the untranslated localization files are available in the latest wowace SVN copy. At this time, I'm not taking translations, as I already have a lot to do. I added the empty files so that by the time I'm ready for them, someone might have them translated. :)
