The "health bar extension" created by the VisualHeal modules can spill out of the unitframe in the event of overhealing. This can have the undesirable side-effect of covering up other unitframes or other important UI elements. At the least, to some players this may be visually unappealing.
The current workaround is to make the overheals completely transparent or invisible. I suspect it would be more optimal to be able to disable overhealing completely instead of rendering it invisible. Giving players the option to completely disable the display of overheals in the VisualHeal section within each Layout would be very desirable.
Note: Ticket 609 ended up having too many separate ideas than I initially intended. This is why I have closed that ticket and replaced it with multiple specific ones.
One option that might be worth looking at is something similar to the the way Vuhdo handles overheal. It lightens the color of the health bar based on how much overheal is incoming.
Not perfect, but it keeps the overheal bar from spilling over into anything adjacent, while still retaining a quick visual view of overheal amount.
Layout-option was added to the overheal module in beta8-17. There's minor timing occasions where the bar may still temporarily go past the frame for a few instants before the corresponding events fire.
Hi, I was looking for this functionality, and I think I'm being dense, but I cannot for the life of me find it.
In the modules section, Visual Heal only has an enabled/disabled section, and I can't find it in the Layout Options.
I'm sure I'm missing it, but if you could point me in the right direction, I'd be in your debt.
Thanks!
