A smart and simple buff notification addon-on. When u gain Hot Streak, Brain Freeze & MissleBarrage proc, displays a flashing fullscreen-effect and plays a sound

Never miss the instant pyroblast, fireball or Missle Barrage

Displays Arcanblast debuff as Combo Points (Rogue or Cat like) [Only in v1.3 alpha]

Commands:

/magealert - commandlist

/magealert flash on/off" - disable/enable flashing fullscreen effect

/magealert sound on/off" - disable/enable sound notification

/magealert fofsound on/off" - disable/enable Fingers of Frost sound notification

Support for all locations in current release !

Only sheeps are prettier!

How about a little feedback, gmfagundes. It's great to hear from people using the addon when they are having an issue, but if we give you suggestions on how to correct a problem and then never hear back from you, we don't know if those suggestions worked and we don't know if we can apply those same suggestions to other players.

So, fixed or not?

AHHHH FOR THE LOVE OF GOD THIS ADDON ISNT WORKING!! FIX IT PLEASE AND STOP NERFING MY DPS! joking.. but for real, isnt working :O and i have the 1.2 version. Actually, i think only the sounds arent working.. what is going on?

You might want to use the Curse 4.0 client to remove and reinstall the addon. Version 1.2 went through a pretty thorough testing phase with myself and my guild who are very good at breaking things. You can also disable all of your other addon's and run MageAlert to see if another addon is interfering. You can often catch me on the US server Shandris on my mage Nekrotik (horde) if you want to try and hash things out real-time.

I haven't had time to look at 1.3 but instead of just disabling the mod, try rolling back to 1.2 which may solve some of your issues.

I have to agree with diggerman, since I installed the new version (1.3), I have been getting thousands upon thousands of errors. Thank God for Buggrabber. But even that is not good because it fills the log area. I have had to disable this addon, and hope that the problem will be fixed soon. :(

Try rolling back to 1.2 and see if you still have problems. You may also want to use the Curse 4.0 client to remove and reinstall the addon. If that doesn't resolve the issue, try disabling all of your other addon's and run only MageAlert to see if another addon is causing a conflict.

Have you ever thought of going into the addons, disabling it on all and then selecting your mage char and enabling it for that one? So easy and once done you can forget all about it :)

Since updating to the latest version (1.3) it spits out tons of errors when logging anything but my mage, i know its not supposed to work with other classes but does it need to give errors? Hope you fix it cause im a bit lazy and hate to deactivate it all the time i wanna play an alt. Anyways great work on the addon, simply love it.

I love your mod but have a tiny issue that is driving me crazy.

The screen "flash" notification doesnt extend to cover my monitor resolution (1920 x 1080). I am not quite sure if it is even intended to do so or if there is some setting I can change to make it extend to the edges of my screen. At the moment there is an obvious gap on the edges....not quite sure if it is 1680 wide by default or what. Is there a way to fix this to cover peeps with bigger screen res?

anyone know if ther is somthing for this for Boomkins i use this for my mage but its mage only and i really like the sound prompts rather then having 1000000000000000 million million CD bars and proc bars across my screen any help would be apreciated

It wouldn't be difficult to adapt this for boomkins. Never played one, so I don't know what procs they have. Perhaps "boomalert" ?

I'm not sure what 'image' your expecting to see. If you mean the icon for the proc, Magealert doesn't impact that. If you mean the screen flash, you might want to disable all of your addon's except Magealert to see if there's a conflict.

I'm not seeing the Brain Freeze delay that you are. It could be that you're running too many addons and they're using up memory slowing the response time.

My MB proc seems to always never show the image it is supposed to. The sound file plays, but the image never shows up. On some occasions, a bunch of them will fill the screen at once.

Also, the Brain Freeze proc is sometimes delayed. Both the image and sound will sometimes appear after the proc has already been ticking.

Since scorchio has currently died im watching this project with alot of hope, is there any chance the next version could include a way to change to sound alert to another sound for example the achievment ding?

trent2 is working on a gui to set up magealert if you want to have another soundfiles than copy it to magealert/sounds and rename your files to magealert soundfile name

I consider it to me whether I'll add this option in 2.0

Is there a way to have the fingers of frost flash proc for brainfreeze, and is there anyway to make the brainfreeze.mp3 actully work when you get a brainfreeze?

I'm not certain what your asking about the fingers of frost proc. For me, brainfreeze.mp3 does play when brain freeze procs. Are you running the current version? Perhaps having the curse 4.0 client remove and reinstall the addon might help.
