A smart and simple buff notification addon-on. When u gain Hot Streak, Brain Freeze & MissleBarrage proc, displays a flashing fullscreen-effect and plays a sound

Never miss the instant pyroblast, fireball or Missle Barrage

Displays Arcanblast debuff as Combo Points (Rogue or Cat like) [Only in v1.3 alpha]

Commands:

/magealert - commandlist

/magealert flash on/off" - disable/enable flashing fullscreen effect

/magealert sound on/off" - disable/enable sound notification

/magealert fofsound on/off" - disable/enable Fingers of Frost sound notification

Support for all locations in current release !

Only sheeps are prettier!

Awesome. I've gotten nothing but positive feedback. The version I'm working on has an Interface->addon frame for options. I'll get it to you once I get all of the options working :)

Alpha release r52 (v1.2) is compatible with wow 3.3 and is available now. Make sure to set your Curse 4.0 client to download alpha versions of this addon.

Why all the Mage Alert addons stop working with arcane barrage? Its sux. Its not showing AB, BF and HS. only fingers of frost :(

FYI everybody: It doesn't have the sexy sounds, but the "Mage Fever" addon still works to at least give you a visual cue and countdown when Missile Barrage procs. Shouldn't be too tough to add on the sound playing.

I think i did something wrong with the power aura fix. I'm trying to get it to trigger the sound for hot streak, which it did when i entered the name of the mp3. I think my problem is that I configured power aura wrong. Any suggestions on how to configure that would be great. I'm lost without my friendly noisy reminder

Just make sure you keep the SAME SOUNDS for the NEXT VERSION, if your going to make a version2 :)

MageAlert AND EventAlert both check the combatlog. I believe all alert addons do this.
Only hope is blizzard stops screwing up and restores this.

ok, I did something to get the sounds back in my game, using POWER AURAS.
You have to copy the sounds from MageAlert to the sounds directory of power auras, then in game just setup the buff detection to play the sound also.
it works exactly the same except takes a few minutes to setup.

Scorchio or mage alert isnt working becuase they read the combat log to tell u when the proc is up. But wow is not writing procs in combat log so the problem is on blizzards side, not the add ons.

ok to start you need to close WoW and DL Power Auras at:
http://wow.curse.com/downloads/wow-addons/details/powerauras-classic.aspx

Now, go into you wow directory and to
Interface\Addons\magealert\sounds\

Select all mp3 files here (Ctrl A) and copy them to clip board (right click, copy)

NOW go to PowerAuras sounds directory:
Interface\Addons\PowerAuras\Sounds\

Paste the all files here (right click, paste)

Now start your game.
(This will show how to do Missile Barrage sounds)

From the game console, type "/powa" to open the PowerAuras GUI.

Click New
in the top of the config panel you can select what graphic is displayed (or none).

In the lower plane under the Activation Tab, select "Buff" from the pull down menu.
Check the "Exact Name" box and type "Missile Barrage" into the text plane right below the pull down menu you just used.

Now, go to the SOUNDS TAB.

Under OR soundfile, type the file name to be played.
In this case it is missilebarrage.mp3 (the .mp3 tag at the end is necessary)
You should hear the file play when you type the name completely.

now go test it on a target dummy.

NOTE: the Brain Freeze buff is actually called "Fireball!"

I'm following your instructions but it's still not working. I hear the sound when I type in hotstreak.mp3, but then when it procs, it doesn't work.. am I missing a step? Should it be under character effects or global effects? I tried both, tho.
