Features

Announces into Part/Raid chat when using certain Mage spells

Supported Spells

Polymorph
Slow
Counterspell
Portal

Other Features

Supports randomization for spell announcements
Can warn players targeting your Polymorph target to stop attacking

Tokens

These tokens can be used in messages and will be replaced by the information listed

%s: Replaced by the City Name for Portal messages; Replaced by the targets sex for other messages
%l: Replaced by the targets level
%r: Replaced by the targets race
%c: Replaced by the targets class
%d: Same as doing %l-%r-%c-%s

Commands

/magea or /mageannounce - opens the configuration window

This addon makes "You are not in a raid" spam messages when used in a BG such as AB where we are in a raid group but do not have access to a raid channel.

This addon is Great! Best one so far.
There is only one thing that is irritating: If you change the "Message" in any Option, your changed text is reset to the original.

Can you make the addon remember the text if you change it?

I have the same problem and unfortunately have had it for the last 2 or 3 updates. When checking the menu I can choose a message for counterspell and slow, but nothing at all on portals and polymorphs :(

Hopefully this is fixed in 1.2.2 which should show up soon, if it doesn't though you should be able to fix it by resettng your saved variables by going to
World of Warcraft\WTF\Account\ACCOUNTNAME\SavedVariables
and deleting MageAnnounce.lua

Not working for me unfortunately, I gave it a try to replace my beloved (but now dead) BattleCry, but it throws this error message every time I cast a Slow/Polymorph/Portal:

I'd like to request a feature if possible. For a long... long... long time now I've been limping along with ITS'polyquip (http://www.wowinterface.com/downloads/info6905-ItsPolyquip.html) which is just a flavor addon that selects a random quip on a polymorph cast. If MageAnnounce randomly picked a message from an array of available messages, I'd be in hog heaven.

I modified MageAnnounce so that it takes an extra option in the general options tab to take in the number of messages it would spam out. Hope it would help out someone that have similar concerns.
