kgPanels
Create panels for customizing your UI, sucessor to eePanels
OnClick now provides a pressed and released variable you can check for.
if pressed then -- do mouse down actions elseif released then -- do mouse up actions end
This means your script will get called twice when someone clicks the panel.
Here is a youtube link to a video Tutorial
Ive created an Example Texture Pack.
This example pack is just a template. If you want to use it as a storage spot for your art, look at the read me file for directions on usage.

Posted Nov 9, 2014This is sooo broken, I had to just turn it off. Can't retain a layout for more than 3 minutes before it goes down. A reload either fixes it or breaks it. I had a great layout profile before last update but it disappeared now.

@thrackley: Go
Apparently the format of the file path has changed. I had to dig a bit to find the answer on the web...and I can't find it again, so, here's a recap.
Try switching from double backslashes to a single forward slash. Also, no slashes at the beginning.
Such as: Interface/Addons/kgpanels/YourArtworkFolder/yourimagename.tga
Instead of:
Interface
Addons
kgpanels
YourArtworkFolder
yourimagename.tga
This fixed the green box problem for me.

Posted Nov 2, 2014for some just changing \\Interface to Interface will work without need for touching other
Interface\Addons\kgpanels\YourArtworkFolder\yourimagename.tga
for me all these work
started with //Interface/Addons/kgpanels/YourArtworkFolder/yourimagename.tga
change it to Interface/Addons/kgpanels/YourArtworkFolder/yourimagename.tga
but for some it may be like Interface\Addons\kgpanels\YourArtworkFolder\yourimagename.tga
but in general just remove beginning brackets Good Luck and happy gaming!

I also had the problem on logout that the panels would reset positions. The fix for me (and it was a little tedious) was to enter all the sizing and location settings manually, as opposed to using the mouse to position and resize the frames.
Hope this helps.

Posted Oct 26, 2014Same issue here. I tried the following paths to try and figure out if it was something I was fat fingering:
Interface/AddOns/ChaostiUI/leftpanel.tga
\\Interface\\AddOns\\ChaostiUI\\leftpanel.tga
Interface\\AddOns\\ChaostiUI\\leftpanel.tga
\Interface\AddOns\ChaostiUI\leftpanel.tga
Interface\AddOns\ChaostiUI\leftpanel.tga
All result in the same green panel issue. I tried it with the default texture pack as well to make sure it wasn't my image, with the same result.
Next I tried disabling all addons except for KGPanels and KGPanels config, and ran through all the examples again. No change.
Using the latest version downloaded from Curse and updated this morning.
Update: This fix worked for me:
1) move artwork under kgPanels folder in addons
2) reloadui in WoW
3) add artwork again.
The panels now show up properly.

Posted Oct 24, 2014Not sure if its something on my end, but the panels seem "lighter" then they used to. I put an all black panel down and was left with looking very faded and transparent.

Posted Oct 19, 2014Having exactly the same issue as blackytemp #899
I've tried disabling all other mods, uninstalling KGpanels, deleting Saved Var files, creating new profiles, and creating new panels and borders.
None of the tick-box options in "Advanced Border Functions" are being saved, I always get a full border at re-load or re-log. Hope that helps, really love using this mod.

Posted Oct 16, 2014Just downloading this via the Curse Client for the first time and I can't get the kgpanels config to pop up? I have the add on enabled but they are both red instead of yellow. Any idea why I can't get to the config?

Posted Oct 15, 2014I'm having an issue with Advanced Border Functions:
I've set some frames to use these and configured the borders I want to see. The data gets saved correctly and the config window shows them correctly, however the panel itself does not have its borders changed accordingly after an interface reload.
I've tried playing with the LUA to fix it but could not find a solution. The only fix that seems to work is un- and rechecking the Advanced Border Functions enable checkbox.
