GatherMate2
GatherMate2 is an addon to collect and track herbs, mines, fishing pools, gas clouds, archaelogy finds and treasures, and displays them on the world map and the mini map.
This is the Retail version of GatherMate2, the version for WoW Classic can be found here
GatherMate will remember the location of every herb you pick or every ore you mine, so that you can easily find the positions of the herbs and mines again. Once you come into range of a recorded spot, GatherMate will show an icon representing the type of herb/ore/fish/etc. on your mini map, directly allowing you to decide if its worth checking out. Additionally, all spots are shown on the World Map, to ease navigation to certain types of nodes and making gathering more fun.
To give you a head start, GatherMate2 also offers a pre-filled data module, so you don't need to discover all herbs and mines yourself, but instead can just start gathering right away. Simply install GatherMate2_Data and hit a few buttons to import all the provided data, and you're good to go.

Usage
Using GatherMate2 is straight-forward.
After the installation, GatherMate2 is automatically active and collecting data.
You can configure which data should be shown on the World Map or MiniMap in the Configuration Dialog, which can be accessed either via the /gathermate slash command or be found in the Interface options in the WoW Menu.
Localization (Translation of Nodes)
GatherMate2 relies on the node names to be translated in all languages WoW supports. You can contribute additional translations for your language here using the Localization tool:
https://www.wowace.com/projects/gathermate2/localization
Any translations submitted through that tool will be automatically included in the next release.
GatherMate2_Data
GatherMate2_Data has been updated with all fresh data from Wowhead, including support for Shadowlands, and will be continously updated throughout the coming expansion.
If you are looking for a pre-filled database for GatherMate2, get GatherMate2_Data here:

If you replace every instance of WorldMapTooltip with GameTooltip in the tooltips.lua file, the addon will work as usual.
In reply to Branalia:
I didn't find a tooltips.lua file. I did find a reference to WorldMapTooltip in the Display.lua file. Is that the file you meant?
In reply to maccormaic:
Yeah, I had the same error in a bunch of addons and forgot I specifically mentioned that file in another one in another post. I just copy/pasted.
In reply to Branalia:
I downloaded it yesterday and in my verison all of them are already changed to GameTooltip, but is still cant make it to work. I tried to disable all other addon, tried all the filters, the minimap and worlmap settings, but nothing works. Like its not even installed. Back in the time I used Gatherer and it had a written note when I discovered a new node, I dont know if gathermate have the same, but I dont get any note for discovering nodes either.
Updated to 8.1.5, opened the map and got these 2 errors:

This addon is awesome! But it is not working for BFA. Is there a timeline for updating Gathermate 2?
Is there a way to have an audible notification when passing over a node? I spend far too much time looking at the minimap instead of the beautiful scenery passing below me.
Thanks in advance,
Doc
Please we need to update this addon, to have the settings area include an export option to Gathermate_Data. The default database is the only nodes that remain, anytime there is either a new patch, or if I have to troubleshoot troubles with WoW of any sort, and am asked to "disable or move all the addon files" I am a heavy user of all 6 categories of nodes, esp archaeology and fish pools. It makes my digging go much faster, once a database is established at a digsite. Fish pools start to give information such as whether a fish is purely freshwater or saltwater in a zone, etc. one a database is established. It is REALLY annoying having my entire database wiped out every time there's a patch.
This still just needs a .toc update for 8.0.1. The owner, kagaro was last online Mon, Jul, 9 2018 so they are probably still active
Update for BFA 8.1.0?
please update your addon
Is there any way to change the center color of found nodes? Ex: MIning node appears yellow inside the red circle on the mini-map. It would be helpful if I could change the yellow to orange. Is this possible?

For only with digsite, gathermate2 is not displaying archy nodes on minimap. Not sure what the cause is. Any help would be appreciated.
