GatherMate2
GatherMate2 is an addon to collect and track herbs, mines, fishing pools, gas clouds, archaelogy finds and treasures, and displays them on the world map and the mini map.
This is the Retail version of GatherMate2, the version for WoW Classic can be found here
GatherMate will remember the location of every herb you pick or every ore you mine, so that you can easily find the positions of the herbs and mines again. Once you come into range of a recorded spot, GatherMate will show an icon representing the type of herb/ore/fish/etc. on your mini map, directly allowing you to decide if its worth checking out. Additionally, all spots are shown on the World Map, to ease navigation to certain types of nodes and making gathering more fun.
To give you a head start, GatherMate2 also offers a pre-filled data module, so you don't need to discover all herbs and mines yourself, but instead can just start gathering right away. Simply install GatherMate2_Data and hit a few buttons to import all the provided data, and you're good to go.

Usage
Using GatherMate2 is straight-forward.
After the installation, GatherMate2 is automatically active and collecting data.
You can configure which data should be shown on the World Map or MiniMap in the Configuration Dialog, which can be accessed either via the /gathermate slash command or be found in the Interface options in the WoW Menu.
Localization (Translation of Nodes)
GatherMate2 relies on the node names to be translated in all languages WoW supports. You can contribute additional translations for your language here using the Localization tool:
https://www.wowace.com/projects/gathermate2/localization
Any translations submitted through that tool will be automatically included in the next release.
GatherMate2_Data
GatherMate2_Data has been updated with all fresh data from Wowhead, including support for Shadowlands, and will be continously updated throughout the coming expansion.
If you are looking for a pre-filled database for GatherMate2, get GatherMate2_Data here:

Many, but not all, nodes on my map and minimap are solid and black squares behind them, and when I fly over something, it is not turning into the circle that shows the node inside or not. Is this possibly a change with ElvUI or is it something anyone else has noticed? Thanks!
I am having the same problem
@darkpowrjd
try just going into the game with gathermate enabled only and see if you still see the issue. I cant replicate this behaviour. I even installed elvui this morning on beta to see if that was doing something, btu alas thats not the culprit. Also are you on windows or mac? it might be some directx issue (it was suggested not sure)
When in doubt disable everything except gathermate and see if it still happens. I doubt it will as the only reason to see floating icons is either a.) bad zone data or b.) some addon is changing the map. I doubt a as it's a direct extract from the games files and re-validated in game. It's very likely b, that some addon is changing your map. There have been a few reports in irc about something changing maps randomly
Okay, I'm not sure if this is something just with the ElvUI minimap or something with this addon or what, or if this has been brought up by anyone else, but this is driving me up the wall.
It's hard to explain what is exactly going on in words, but I don't have any other option right now, so please bear with me as I try to describe this.
Whenever I fly around a zone to farm using the pulled data (or any data), the circles on the minimap seem to "move" as if the nodes were rapid moving objects rather than being still (and they are all running away from me, apparently). This is making it VERY hard for me to know where that node would even be, much less if that node was actually available or not.
This has happened before, and for the most part, it fixes itself the next time I log onto the game (not sure how, but it does), and it rarely appears. It made me think that all I needed was to reload UI. However, with the recent update, nothing seems to work, and it's been doing this ever since. I don't know what to do to get it to stop doing this, or what is even causing it (making me unable to know who to talk to to get it fixed).
Please let me know if it didn't make sense of what I'm talking about.
I found the problem with the loading errors and Import functionality not working. For me it was manifesting as AceAddon-3.0 errors. Cannot find Gathermate2_Data addon
The first line of the Gathermate2_Data.toc file is corrupt. Mine was "Interfac5: 0.14300" or something like that. I chnaged it to "Interface: 50001" and now it loads with no erros and Import works properly.
I'm not sure what's going on, but I have both GM2/GM_D and it's not giving me anything at all to import, both tabs at the top are completely greyed out.
I am also having the same problem with the nodes sliding across the minimap as you move on the live 5.0.2 client.
are you guys running disembedded also what zones?
I'm not sure if I'm running it disembedded, I'm just using the default settings after installing with the database loaded. The problem isn't different depending on the zone, it's happening everywhere.
Same problem with icons sliding across the minimap...
The icons were sliding for me in Mount Hyjal. I then went to Orgrimmar, switched toons for a bit, and then logged in and returned to Hyjal. The icons weren't sliding anymore. Not sure if it was relogging or the zone switches, but problem seems to be gone now.
odd, ill see what going on, it is working fine on beta (i dont have live client installed on my laptop just beta client)
Also, separate issue, but the icons are sliding over the mini map when I move. They're exactly right when right on top of stuff, but as I move away from an icon, it moves away across the mini map.
This occurs on the standard Blizzard minimap but is difficult to see. its much easier to see when zoomed 2x or 4x. I use BasicMinimap at 2x zoom for gathering, and they're sliding all over the place.
i just updated sharing that should fix it, please bear with me im traveling this week and its hard to test on my laptop
Just updated, using 1.18, and whever I pick up a node I get this:
I am also not getting Maplewood Treasure Chests to show (see comment from another user from two days ago.) Your addon is fantastic, and I am so pleased with it. Unfortunately since I am leveling in Northrend, these chests were at the top of my priority list! Can this be fixed? xoxoxoxo
@Samboda
you get wowhead to remove thos bad nodes and it will dissapear form the data set. there is something new coming to wowdb for map info on nodes. once that comes in i may switch to that instead of wowhead, well see
Can something be done about zones that have been split (Stranglethorn Vale, Barrens). When i import the data from Gathermate_data there are a few nodes showing in Stranglethorn Vale in places that doesn't make any sense; the same thing happens in Northern Barrens.
Please add Dark Soil as Treasure
