GatherMate2
GatherMate2 is an addon to collect and track herbs, mines, fishing pools, gas clouds, archaelogy finds and treasures, and displays them on the world map and the mini map.
This is the Retail version of GatherMate2, the version for WoW Classic can be found here
GatherMate will remember the location of every herb you pick or every ore you mine, so that you can easily find the positions of the herbs and mines again. Once you come into range of a recorded spot, GatherMate will show an icon representing the type of herb/ore/fish/etc. on your mini map, directly allowing you to decide if its worth checking out. Additionally, all spots are shown on the World Map, to ease navigation to certain types of nodes and making gathering more fun.
To give you a head start, GatherMate2 also offers a pre-filled data module, so you don't need to discover all herbs and mines yourself, but instead can just start gathering right away. Simply install GatherMate2_Data and hit a few buttons to import all the provided data, and you're good to go.

Usage
Using GatherMate2 is straight-forward.
After the installation, GatherMate2 is automatically active and collecting data.
You can configure which data should be shown on the World Map or MiniMap in the Configuration Dialog, which can be accessed either via the /gathermate slash command or be found in the Interface options in the WoW Menu.
Localization (Translation of Nodes)
GatherMate2 relies on the node names to be translated in all languages WoW supports. You can contribute additional translations for your language here using the Localization tool:
https://www.wowace.com/projects/gathermate2/localization
Any translations submitted through that tool will be automatically included in the next release.
GatherMate2_Data
GatherMate2_Data has been updated with all fresh data from Wowhead, including support for The War Within (and Midnight in the future), and will be continously updated throughout the coming expansion.
If you are looking for a pre-filled database for GatherMate2, get GatherMate2_Data here:

Posted Jul 11, 2025Why doesn't archaeology nodes be set to "only while tracking" like the other trackable nodes? Its annoying to manually switch it on and off every time.

Posted Jul 6, 2025I'm having an issue that I can't figure out - I have gathermate2 and the data addon both installed, but when I go to import data, it says it imported but no nodes show up from the imported data. I'm on MoP Classic.

Posted Apr 10, 2025In reply to mastakeuF: check the "load out of date AddOns" tick box in the addon menu...Or you can try downloading the latest alpha file from here. To answer the "why?" question: because it is most likely out of date in the toc file.

Posted Mar 4, 2025For the 11.1 - ringing deeps problem.
Since the built-in DB clear not working on specific zone, if you want to easily delete all of the nodes in the zone, close your game then open the database file:
\World of Warcraft\_retail_\WTF\Account\<your_account_name>\SavedVariables\GatherMate2.lua
In this file, look for "[2214]" zone. Simply delete all the rows between "{" and "}"
Save and enter the game.
Maybe there is a solution for modify the saved coords for each node, but repopulating feels like easire for me.

Posted Mar 1, 2025With 11.1 dropping, The Ringing Deeps coordinates were shifted. I've been trying to delete all of the gathered nodes from that zone, but Database Maintenance option is not doing it. I'm having to go in and manually delete each node.

Posted Jan 2, 2025There seems also a problem with some archaeology nodes. There is "Demonic Archaeology Find" in two variants: glowing and not glowing. In german they are two different names: "Archäologisches Fundstück der Dämonen" for not glowing version and "Archäologischer Fund der Dämonen" for glowing. Any possibility to seperate those two because the addon is not creating pins for the missing one? Or something like 'or/else functions'?

Posted Dec 16, 2024Nodes are not created or moved if names are wrong in locales .lua-files.
NL["Serevite Deposit"] = "Serevitvorkommen " should be
NL["Serevite Deposit"] = "Serevitvorkommen" ...one space too much.

Posted Dec 5, 2024Made a simple python script to scrape wowhead and pull herb data.
https://github.com/Jsimpson90/sprout-scout
Have to manually add the data to the DB in your local files but you can figure that out.
I only cared about herbs but with a little work you could make it work for mining as well
Data is updated every time you run the script.

Posted Nov 24, 2024Hello, when I used the addon years back for looking for old world chests the importer didn't always have the 100% perfect area for the chests. When I found a new chest that wasnt pinned it would auto make a new pin for said chest. However just a few hours ago I found a chest not pinned and the addon did not add a pin for it. Is there any way I can manually do it myself?
