FlagRSP2
FlagRSP2 is an AddOn for World of Warcraft that allows players to add additional information about their characters into the game. It is designed to support role players and allow others with MSP compatible AddOns to easily see if the character is a role player or is even in character. Characters can be fleshed out with additional names, titles, and detailed descriptions.
FlagRSP2 is a continuation of flagRSP 0.5.6 by Flokru. FlagRSP2 is a completely new code base designed to be more efficient and play well with other AddOns. As of 2.5, FlagRSP2 uses the new Mary Sue Protocol to communicate, and no longer uses chat channels.
If your FlagRSP2 copy is OLDER than 1.5.x you should delete the FlagRSP2 directory first!(The Curse Client will do this for you if you use that.) Copy the "flagRSP2" folder into your World of Warcraft AddOns folder. Before selecting your character and entering the game other MSP RP AddOns such as MyRolePlay must be disabled to prevent conflicts.
If you really like this AddOn and would like to help support it, there are a couple of things you can do. You can help by providing clear bug reports that try to accurately describe the problem and screenshots are helpful. Submit your trouble ticket here.

I have the same issue madmax83 was having. Joining the channel didn't do . . anything. When i do join the channel, i get spammed with peoples, i think profiles?
So you were in fact not joined to the channel. After joining it, go into the options for that chat tab and uncheck that channel for being visible. It will still process the requests, but be invisible.
Hi,
I don't really know if it is fixed till now. But the version I'm currently using
has a error that it will show the flag on hover even if I checked the option to not do so.
Downloaded it from WoW Ace a few days ago.
Download from here, WoW Ace may not be updated correctly.
The line 280 nil error in options.lua is fixed in the next revision(1.5.0) which will be released after testing and I finish coding new features.
what coding language do you use? I can somewhat read it but I'm not 100% sure on what it is
the coding language for all wow addons is LUA (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Lua_(programming_language))
Blizzard resrtivcts some of the functions to assure that no function will be made available not wanted by Blizzard, for example cross faction communication.
greetings,
jack

A friend turned me on to this addon but I haven't downloaded yet. It looks like a dream come true for me. But I'm confused and do not want to download until I understand this: quote - "PLEASE! Use a quality archiving program such as WinRAR! The Windows XP archiver is horrible and will break FlagRSP2." I have no idea what that means.
Talk to me about computer stuff like you would a preschooler (heck, they prob even know more than I do). What am I suppose to do? What is WinRAR and where do I get it? Did it come with my computer? I have Vista. Wont this program automatically use this WinRAR or do I have some kind of options box I have to switch it over to?
I'm just curious if it's going to go buggy again, I'm glad you've worked so hard on it the past few days, but I don't want to have to re-download it again. :)
Thanks once more for making such a wonderful mod.
There is one bug that I know of right at the moment that will give you a nil error, but it will not effect the general operation of FlagRSP2. It requires really fiddling with the options to make it appear though.
That sounds like an old one. Luckily i don't get it. Redownloading now.
1.4.3 should fix all of the options saving issues, period.
Thank you for pointing all of these issues out, Serneum.
No problem...I felt more like a nuisance than anything. Would you mind emailing me the changes you made to the code? I've been taking a look at AddOns when I get errors (as you saw in earlier comments) and I was trying to figure out how to fix that not-saving issue...it had me stumped
GetChecked() for getting the check box value was being insanely stupid. In the saved variables, it is supposed to save as 1 or 0.(True or False) Well, GetChecked() was reporting 1 and NIL. Yes, nil is technically 0, but when passing NIL into a table array to be saved it just erases that table entry instead.
Options are broken again. Will fix when not tired.
Not sure if youve narrowed the issue down or not, but it seems that when you change an option to be checked or not, RSP seems to always think it is checked.
I have the issues fixed and will be posting a new version soon.
Nice, the options work now. Reloading UI does still reset options though.
Other than that, I love the new look of 1.4 and the addon overall, despite how much I must be bugging you >.<
