FlagRSP2

Table of Contents

This project is abandoned and its default file will likely not work with the most recent version of World of Warcraft. Whether this project is out of date or its author has marked it as abandoned, this project is no longer maintained.

FlagRSP2 is an AddOn for World of Warcraft that allows players to add additional information about their characters into the game. It is designed to support role players and allow others with MSP compatible AddOns to easily see if the character is a role player or is even in character. Characters can be fleshed out with additional names, titles, and detailed descriptions.

FlagRSP2 is a continuation of flagRSP 0.5.6 by Flokru. FlagRSP2 is a completely new code base designed to be more efficient and play well with other AddOns. As of 2.5, FlagRSP2 uses the new Mary Sue Protocol to communicate, and no longer uses chat channels.

If your FlagRSP2 copy is OLDER than 1.5.x you should delete the FlagRSP2 directory first!(The Curse Client will do this for you if you use that.) Copy the "flagRSP2" folder into your World of Warcraft AddOns folder. Before selecting your character and entering the game other MSP RP AddOns such as MyRolePlay must be disabled to prevent conflicts.

If you really like this AddOn and would like to help support it, there are a couple of things you can do. You can help by providing clear bug reports that try to accurately describe the problem and screenshots are helpful. Submit your trouble ticket here.

Version 1.7 is now available!

Added option to stop AFK spam.
Fixed description saving.
Removed extra tooltip option and integrated with default tooltip.
Fixed line 558 AN3 error.
Moved name and title generation to their own functions to simplify code.
Poorly updated German and French translations.
Changed default minimap icon position to 200 degrees to hopefully prevent it from initially being stuck under another icon.
Removed unnecessary library dependencies.
Fixed option to hide FlagRSP2's minimap button.

Hiho,

i hope my english is not bad as i think it is ;)

I have a problem, i hope you can help me:
the button of flagRSP2 is directly ontop of the searchbutton at the minimap, but i can´t click it, it is alway the searchbutton in the tooltip. i don´t know a command to open the options to chance the position of the flagbutton.

Without flagRSP i will go crazy ;) hope you can help me fast
and sorry for my english :-/

Well, almost unusable... I was fooling around with my add-ons and realized that the FlagRSP add-on now has two separate buttons. Why this change? I have too many buttons on my mini-map now.

I figured it out! Right-click on the FlagRSP button to bring up the fubar options. These options include the ability to hide the fubar button.

Unfortunately, the settings tab does not allow me to change my settings for some reason. :(

Hi, I've been using FlagRSP2 for awhile now and really like the addon. :D I was just wondering if xtensionxtooltip2 was supposed to be taking the chat channel one spot up or if it'll go back to loading last in the channels like before. Having it take up channel one really screws up all my chat channels. :(

It should not be. The manual way to fix it is to leave each channel and then rejoin them in order. The way more destructive way to fix it is to delete your chat-cache under your WTF/AccountName folder in the World of Warcraft folder.

Hi there,

my english isn`t as good as yours, because im a german Roleplayer.
But im not here to excuse my english knowledge.

I have a little problem and I hope to find help her:

Where has my Minimap button for Flag Rsp 2 gone?
With the new patch I have installed Flag rsp Version 1.6 but I can't see the minimap button any longer and I don`t know any command how I can reach the configuration without this small button.
Is there maybe a Command to reach the Settings?

I guess my minimap button may stucks behind the big new calendar button.
Do i have to delete my complete wtf ordner to find the button again? :-(

I would be very thankful for any help.

Furthermore I want to pay my respect for your genial work with this mod which help us german roleplayer in a big way.
Thank you on behalf of every german Roleplayer.

So I just installed the new WotLK build of flagRSP2 and I've noticed none of the descriptions are coming up. The xtensionxtooltip2 channel is in my list, but nothing shows. Also, when I bring up the new options window, there are no checkboxes or anything to turn the options on or off. Did I get a bad version or is there a slight bug with the new build? And where did that AddOn Preferences menu come from?

If the xtensionxtooltip2 is in your list, it is on the channel properly. It will actually give you an error message during log in if it can not join the channel.

If you are looking in the new options in AddOn Preferences, make sure to select a sub category over on the left.

Just check "Load out of date AddOns" in the AddOn screen. It is showing out of date because the game version for FlagRSP2 has been set to 30000 for WoW patch 3.0.2 next week and WotLK in a month.

I do have version 1.5.3 in the works. Included in it will be improved channel handling and a warning message how to enable FlagRSP2 when it is disabled. I am also considering moving the libraries over to Ace3, but that has not happened yet.

Version 1.5.2 will work with WoW 3.x and WotLK with no modifications. You may have to manually rejoin the xtensionxtooltip2 channel if 3.x clears it.

Hello that, fine addon this be, but lately I have started to get a slight delayproblem. Whenever I update the "Physical description" it takes ages and ages for it to actually update. For example right now I changed my description about 25 minutes ago, it still hasn't changed for either me or my friends targeting me. Why this delaything? My character is not rushed with adrenaline right now as it says she is. :P
