Elkano's BuffBars

EBB provides groups of statusbar style indicators to show (de)buffs currently affecting your char or some other units (currently focus, pet and target). For the player, it can also show indicators for temporary enchants place on it's weapons.

Due to changes Blizzard made with WoW 4.x it's no longer possible to cancel buffs without the use of secure frames. Currently EBB limits canceling of buffs to out-of-fight since using SecureAuraHeader would have required a major code restructuring. This will be coming in a later version.

Version 2.x is a total recode based on the Ace2 framework which became necessary in order to support some of the longtime wanted and suggested features. It's now possible to show different groups of bars which can be configured in many ways. Each group can be assigned an individual look and filter settings. EBB can be configured via a dropdown menu which is accessible via chat (/ebb config), FuBar plugin or (for the group settings) by right clicking the groups anchor. After setting up a group, its anchor can be hidden by alt-left clicking a bar or the anchor itself in order to lock the group in place.

In order to get additional bar textures and fonts for EBB simply install SharedMedia which is available for download under http://wow.curse.com/downloads/wow-addons/details/sharedmedia.aspx

I changed the width to 20 so it's showing just the icons (kind of like the screenshot "minimalistic setup" above. I was wondering if there was a way to make it grow left/right and/or after x buffs make a new row. Perhaps there is an addon out there that already can do this, but I just haven't found it yet.

Still it's a great addon, I just prefer icons. If only I had more space I'd be perfectly fine with the bars!

Did you only change the width to match the height or did you also disable the statusbar and texts?

And wrt horizontal alignment, that's not possible with the current version though it's in the drafts for the next recode.

On the first one, player buffs, I disabled the statusbar then matched the height and width, but I wasn't able to find a text disable thing so I ignored it. However, for player debuffs, target buffs, target debuffs, I only matched the height and width since it didn't appear to make a difference if I messed with the statusbar or not.

That second line of yours just made me giddy, in a good way.

Oh I didn't mention that when I matched the width and height the text disappeared on its own. Viola icons only!

I just wanted to add a little something I accidentally came across. I can't seem to click off druid forms like I do for buffs. Not sure if this was intended, but just letting you know.

That's not a buff. It doesn't show in Blizzard's either.

Hello, first off thank you for this mod!

I only have one problem and have tried just about all i can thinks of.
I have two rogue abilities not showing up on the bars: Rupture and Garrote.
They list as debuffs in the options but never show up. I jave tried black listing them white listing them, even deleted my savedvariables file incase i messed something up. Thanks!

Activate the anchor for the debuff group by either using the menu via the fubar plugin or /ebb config or alt-leftclick a debuff. Then you can move the debuff group around (TENCH will move too, since it's anchored to DEBUFF by default). To reachor it to another group just move it close again and it should snap after placing.

Best way to put it back to default is to delete the saved variables file. I don't think there is any other easy way (besides setting everything up by hand from scratch).

For some reason on my alt, I accidently pressed something on the minimap button and it messed it up. I then removed and made a new group hoping that it would be at its DEFAULT settings.

But when I went on my shaman, I noticed that I didn't have windfury on, but it said I did on my character screen.

When I tried to apply the TeNCH thing, it came back to normal, but it was right next to the other buffs, while before it was seperate from the others, and they were purple (this time the weapon buffs were blue).

Anyway I could put it back to a default elk?

Blame Blizzard, they somehow broke the event. It doesn't fire when you leave cat form :/

i have used this mod since well as far as i can remember, love it.

i have noticed a problem since last patch. some buffs, like my DK aura and tracking ability's(mostly on my druid when switching from mining to humanoid tracking) are not being updated on the buff bar. the bar seems to get stuck on some of those buff's.

i had mining tracker up last night and it was still showing humanoid until i reloged.

not sure what would cause that.

Is there any way I can stop the bars from snapping to the minimap? I have SimpleMiniMap there, and even when I've moved it out of the way, I can't place the bars exactly where I want because there's an area of about 40 square pixels where the bars move of their own accord if I drop them there. It's very frustrating.

Bargroups only stick to other bargroups. So mabe you have another bargroup in that possition?

is there an easier way to make a buff bar for proactive things like art of war. without going through the blacklist and clicking off every single buff in the game? i cannot find an option to blacklist all, and uncheck what i want.

Canceling forms (and vehicles I think) is protected and thus can't be done via EBB.
Or are there any other buffs you can't cancel?

I really want to use this mod but I require the ability to click of certain buffs, but this addon does not allow me to, can some one help plz?
