Elkano's BuffBars
EBB provides groups of statusbar style indicators to show (de)buffs currently affecting your char or some other units (currently focus, pet and target). For the player, it can also show indicators for temporary enchants place on it's weapons.
Due to changes Blizzard made with WoW 4.x it's no longer possible to cancel buffs without the use of secure frames. Currently EBB limits canceling of buffs to out-of-fight since using SecureAuraHeader would have required a major code restructuring. This will be coming in a later version.
Version 2.x is a total recode based on the Ace2 framework which became necessary in order to support some of the longtime wanted and suggested features. It's now possible to show different groups of bars which can be configured in many ways. Each group can be assigned an individual look and filter settings. EBB can be configured via a dropdown menu which is accessible via chat (/ebb config), FuBar plugin or (for the group settings) by right clicking the groups anchor. After setting up a group, its anchor can be hidden by alt-left clicking a bar or the anchor itself in order to lock the group in place.
In order to get additional bar textures and fonts for EBB simply install SharedMedia which is available for download under http://wow.curse.com/downloads/wow-addons/details/sharedmedia.aspx

Posted Apr 25, 2008/ebb config only brings up the menu that I get also from FuBar. But alt-leftclick brought the anchor back up agian. Thanks heaps.

Posted Apr 28, 2008well, I know, but in that menu you have an option to show the anchor. Also you can show it via the FuBar tooltip by clicking the group's line.

Posted Apr 21, 2008Hey Elkano. nice addon, gotta love it. But ehm, i have a questiong for you about the shown buffs. Is it possible to make the anchor at the buttom of the buffs? So that the buffs/debuffs grows up?

Posted Apr 22, 2008I have them on "Grow up", but the debuffs are still shown below the anchor.. I was thinking of anchor at the buttom, debuffs ontop of that and normal buffs at the top of the debuffs.. Is that possible?

Posted Apr 19, 2008just wondering, does this addon show debuffs inflicted on your target by other players? ie) if a mage sheeps my target, and i have polymorph set to be shown, will it show up?

Posted Apr 21, 2008since there is no way to tell who cast a de/buff, yes it should show up. But since the API only retunrs times for spells cast on/by you you won't see how long the sheep is going to hold, only that the mob is affected by it.

Posted Apr 1, 2008The 2.4 version wasn't uploaded by myself. But don't be fooled by the 'out of date' message... this only means that the TOC file lists an older TOC version so you have to check 'load out of date addons' in your addon list. It does not mean the addon isn't working with 2.4 (in fact it works fine)

Posted Mar 25, 2008Hi, I am having a problem with your addon, since i configured the UI for my druid and for my hunter, both low lvl xD
After making an amasing UI for both (took half day ><) i logged my main just to find that your addon was not working, i had default buff icons, even tho i didnt change anything on my mains settings, i worked around it for some days by just renaming my alts folders in the WTF folder, but, since yesterday, it stop working and my main is now having just icons and no elkano buffs for anyone.
Any ideas? i end up trying diferent addons on and off, and i am having like the biggest UI lag ever, and i dont know what i addon caused that =( because i have like 300 addons on my addon folder, and i just enable/desable what i need for each of my charaters.
Hope you can help me, is there any "by profile" option in elkano? because as for configuration, it was one of the easiest, i think it was just, enable, position and forget, great addon.

Most cast bar/timer/cooldown addons have a 'glowing' 'light' at the end of every bar that is about 2-4 pixels wide. If you're not sure what I'm talking about see nature enemy castbar, or quartz castbar, or DoTimers. It would be a great feature for your addon. If it's an easy change but you don't want to add it to your addon maybe you could post here and tell me how to do it?
