Elkano's BuffBars
EBB provides groups of statusbar style indicators to show (de)buffs currently affecting your char or some other units (currently focus, pet and target). For the player, it can also show indicators for temporary enchants place on it's weapons.
Due to changes Blizzard made with WoW 4.x it's no longer possible to cancel buffs without the use of secure frames. Currently EBB limits canceling of buffs to out-of-fight since using SecureAuraHeader would have required a major code restructuring. This will be coming in a later version.
Version 2.x is a total recode based on the Ace2 framework which became necessary in order to support some of the longtime wanted and suggested features. It's now possible to show different groups of bars which can be configured in many ways. Each group can be assigned an individual look and filter settings. EBB can be configured via a dropdown menu which is accessible via chat (/ebb config), FuBar plugin or (for the group settings) by right clicking the groups anchor. After setting up a group, its anchor can be hidden by alt-left clicking a bar or the anchor itself in order to lock the group in place.
In order to get additional bar textures and fonts for EBB simply install SharedMedia which is available for download under http://wow.curse.com/downloads/wow-addons/details/sharedmedia.aspx

Posted Dec 20, 2007The way that I have my interface set up I need to have it all in one line. If i put then on the same side they will run over eachother. I'm fine with having two seperate bars, but is there anyway to connect them or put one on top of the other?

Posted Nov 23, 2007I can't seem to adequately separate buffs and debuffs in the same group. Checking/unchecking debuff coloring doesn't seem to do anything. I would also like to be able to sort buffs and debuffs seperately in the same group. The old version seemed to do this just fine while I can't seem to get it to work in this one.

Posted Nov 21, 2007why should I? you can access the menu via a right-click on the EBB tracking bar, too. so there still is no need for the button to show up on the minimap, too.

rinnysalts: did you update to the latest version? did you check the options? did you try a right-click on the tracking bar shown in EBB?
Grenade: find which other addon causes this (eg DotTimers) and make its auther fix their addons...

Posted Nov 20, 2007On my hunter I'm having the problem where EBB removes the tracking icon from the minimap. Pre-2.3 this wouldn't have been a problem since EBB displays what I'm tracking as a buff bar, but with the changes made to tracking (right click on the icon and you can track vendors), I'd REALLY like to have that icon back. I've logged in and out turning off various add ons and it's definitely EBB that is causing this issue. Any help would be greatly appreciated!

Posted Nov 20, 2007made a mistake and closed something out, cant get it to move or options anymore, i have deleted the file from the interface and reloaded it but comes back still the same. Is there a way to reset to its orginal options or to be able to move it again

Posted Nov 16, 2007A wonderful mob, but I eagerly await the update for 2.3. I've been having some strange issues with it where it no longer follows certain buffs, and actually caused WoW to crash once for an unknown reason. All issues stopped once I turned it off.
I can't wait to have my buffbars back. ;-;

Posted Nov 16, 2007Hi, first off thanks for a gread mod, i take my hat of to you sir. I have a couple of things that i cant seem to figure out or maybe it how the mod works im not sure. If its the latter i was wondering if this would / could be changed in a future version.
1st, my tooltip only shows base stats for buffs, not including any talent point bonus when i hover over the buff. Is there any way to show this including any talent point bonus? If i hover over the skill in a quick slot (say Mark of the Wild) it shows in the tooltip with the talent point bonus added.
2nd, is there any way to show timers on pet buffs / debuffs. I can get them to work on everything else apart from the pet. (the buffs / debuffs show just not the timers).
Again many thanks for your time & effort put in to creating / maintaining a great mod.

Posted Nov 14, 2007The current version on WoWAce as linked in the text should be working although it was coded a month or so ago on PTR. Haven't been able to code/test lately but hopefully this weekend I'l be able to verify that it really works so there should be a new release on wowi/curse then.

Posted Nov 14, 2007Not working anymore on patch 2.3. It doesn't refresh the buff/debuff or whatever list, and doesn't show the time remaining correctly.
