Elkano's BuffBars

EBB provides groups of statusbar style indicators to show (de)buffs currently affecting your char or some other units (currently focus, pet and target). For the player, it can also show indicators for temporary enchants place on it's weapons.

Due to changes Blizzard made with WoW 4.x it's no longer possible to cancel buffs without the use of secure frames. Currently EBB limits canceling of buffs to out-of-fight since using SecureAuraHeader would have required a major code restructuring. This will be coming in a later version.

Version 2.x is a total recode based on the Ace2 framework which became necessary in order to support some of the longtime wanted and suggested features. It's now possible to show different groups of bars which can be configured in many ways. Each group can be assigned an individual look and filter settings. EBB can be configured via a dropdown menu which is accessible via chat (/ebb config), FuBar plugin or (for the group settings) by right clicking the groups anchor. After setting up a group, its anchor can be hidden by alt-left clicking a bar or the anchor itself in order to lock the group in place.

In order to get additional bar textures and fonts for EBB simply install SharedMedia which is available for download under http://wow.curse.com/downloads/wow-addons/details/sharedmedia.aspx

Works great. Only the cancel button could disappear after cancelled the buff, and would be nice to be able to move somewhere else on the screen.

But grats, and thanks for the work, finally my buffs ordered nicely :D

Mine is working, however I can't change any settings, and if I right-click to de-activate a buff, the Blizzard frame asks to disable the addon.

Yep.. I was getting an error every time I logged in, so I installed the latest version as well and it did the exact thing.

It also caused my power auras to stop working somehow???

So I went back to the non-beta version with the error

OK EVERYONE! Right Clicking Buffs will no longer remove the buff until either Blizzard either fixes the Secure buff status or Elkano can figure out a work around. Stop posting about each individual buff, it makes browsing the updates to this addon very annoying. On the other note, thank you Elkano for making my WoW experience awesome, I have been using these buff bars since BC and I have always loved them. Let's hope Blizzard fixes this because I would hate to see the end of an amazing addon.

Has the tracking function been removed? I've searched the options but I can't see any way of adding tracking to my BUFFS & TRACKING...

yeah, since you can track any number of things at the same time no there is no need for an indicator anymore.

in EBB you can right click the timer (not the icon) and it places a large icon center screen that you left click to cancel the buff, the right click the large icon to hide it.

also cannot right click a buff, such as the famous noggenfoger skeleton, since you can't mount when shifted, i have to relog with elk disabled in order to remove the buff/debuff.

The "removing buff issue" is not an issue of addons.
With Cataclysm, Blizzard modified the buff functions to protect them (maybe to prevent some kind of exploit used in the past). So right-clicking a buff to remove it is ONLY possible with the standard buff interface. No addon can do it anymore until Blizzard decides to modify once again the functions.

If you know the buffs you want to remove, you can still make a standard macro to cancel it/them by using cancelaura:

/cancelaura Horn of Winter
/cancelaura Name of annoying Buff
...

Ok, r157 turned tench group back on but still got a problem.
Enchant duration time is always 0:00, even if there is no ecnhants at all...

a little addition:
enchant duration time doesn't updating from cast itself but updating from replacing to any weapon without class enchants active or if i make myself unarmed

I came here wondering the same thing. This would be especially useful right now, with people throwing pumpkin heads around. >_< I don't mind having them thrown at me, but call me vain, I like to turn it off again. I'm not a fan of the pumpkin head look. heh

Not to mention some of the other "Costumes" block casting, and I can't right click to turn them off either!

Please see comments below. Basically the short of it is that this is a change Blizzard made to the game itself, NO addon can currently rightclick the buffs off.

If you need to get rid of a pesky debuff, you can use
/cancelaura <debuffname here>

:)

i tried this command, but didnt work for me =/ tried to get rid of a buff tho, not debuff.

was the "whisp costume" tried with <> and without, lower case and correct case letters... have to dissable the addon completely to be able to get rid if it, get and error if i try to unhide the original buffs and right click

When using /cancelaura you have to be exact to the spelling that Blizz uses.

For your example it would be /cancelaura Wisp Costume

For something like the jack o lantern it would be

/cancelaura Jack-o'-Lanterned!

Miss any one letter/punctuation and it won't work.
