Elkano's BuffBars

EBB provides groups of statusbar style indicators to show (de)buffs currently affecting your char or some other units (currently focus, pet and target). For the player, it can also show indicators for temporary enchants place on it's weapons.

Due to changes Blizzard made with WoW 4.x it's no longer possible to cancel buffs without the use of secure frames. Currently EBB limits canceling of buffs to out-of-fight since using SecureAuraHeader would have required a major code restructuring. This will be coming in a later version.

Version 2.x is a total recode based on the Ace2 framework which became necessary in order to support some of the longtime wanted and suggested features. It's now possible to show different groups of bars which can be configured in many ways. Each group can be assigned an individual look and filter settings. EBB can be configured via a dropdown menu which is accessible via chat (/ebb config), FuBar plugin or (for the group settings) by right clicking the groups anchor. After setting up a group, its anchor can be hidden by alt-left clicking a bar or the anchor itself in order to lock the group in place.

In order to get additional bar textures and fonts for EBB simply install SharedMedia which is available for download under http://wow.curse.com/downloads/wow-addons/details/sharedmedia.aspx

ok having a problem while lvling a new shammy i decreased the size of the buffs but sell faast wpn buffs as rockbitter wpn stay the same big size as the debuffs how can i remove those tipes of buffs from showing?

Hey Elkano!

Thanks for this fine addon which I use in all of my UIs for as long as I can remember.

Recently I found problem though. I want to create a group that only shows the target's self cast buffs. Is that possible?

The reason for this specific kind of filter is that I want to know when a mob casts an important buff and make it stand out in a huge bar. On the other hand I dont want to have 50 huge bars if my target is a raid buffed player.

Maybe you can give me some advice.

Hey love this addon but i've recently discovered something. I used to use a minimap addon with this so it was never a problem, but recently i switched addons around an dhave discovered that elksbiffbars removes the tracking button from the minimap. i diabled ALL my addons aside from this one to doublecheck and when i logged back in the tracking button wasnt there. it's ofc not a massive thing and my previous button addon seemed to override this option, but i was wondering if it was too much trouble to have both the button and the option in addon as i like to use the tracking button on the minimap. I also disabled tracking from the filter options but it still didnt restore the tracking button. just wondering if it was something simple enough to change. Im currently using chinchilla map and cant get it to override this thanks for any help!

the easiest way to solve this problem would be to use EBB's build in option to not hide the minimap tracking button ^^

Thanks for all your work on this buff/debuff timer addon! It is the only addon i have found that does everything i need it to. And very easy to setup. However, im having an issue (and it's only with this addon) where when i log in, the timers are not "active". That is, it only displays the "blessing of demonstration" and nothing else. However when i go to turn on display lua errors the timers begin to work correctly and i can turn "display lua errors" back off again with no problems until i logout and back in again. Not a major problem, and may be another addon causing this. I am not tech savvy enough to fix this or determine why its happening. Any way i can fix this? Thanks for your time.

Not sure if this was asked. But any way this can use a graphical UI instead of menu's. One of the problems is the white/black lists get so long they don't fit on the screen anymore. I really hate menus much harder to use than a GUI :)

Thanks for the update. Wasn't sure if this was still supported.

Im kind of newb at posting but here it goes!
Elkano i love your addon with all my heart,

Is its possible to do what i've shown in the picture below on diagram B, im pritty sure its impossible to do(after like 5hrs playing with the addon setup) just wondering if you would be able to add this function into the later patches, IT wud make this addon completly PIMP. like a "Number of Colums, 1,2,3,4,5 etc" or somthing like that.

Would it be possible to simply remove the "Blessing of Demonstration" text from an anchored yet "as-of-now" empty buff bar? It would make this addon much more aesthetically pleasing!

Is there a way to get the time left directly under the buff icon and have the buffs grow horizontally across (basically like the default frames). Want the ability to resize, move, and blacklist buffs, but don't want the limitation of a vertical buff alignment.

Thanks for the quick reply, I'm a huge fan of this addon, even though I was having trouble understanding it. I didn't think that magic debuffs would be colored blue. Thanks again Elkano, you're awesome.

Need some help on the debuffs. I like having my buffs/debuffs merged into one consolidated frame. For some reason or another, some debuffs appear as buffs (faerie fire for example shows up in blue instead of red). I can't figure out why :(.

Unless you disabled it, debuffs' bars will be colored by debuff type (blue for magic, green for poison, purple for curses and yellow/brown for diseases). The bar background should be the set color though.

I had a question. What exactly is 'tench' used for, and are you trying to do the whole 'horizontal alignment' thing? Because I'd like to use this...but at the same time, I don't really have the space for it with text and icons (and trust me I'd love to have this) and I may just stick with pitbull's for now...I don't really want to use elkano if it's just icons because I could just do that with pitbull..Always liked this but it seems I dont has space :(...

Often when I get a debuff, my group (which is set to display only debuffs, with no other filters) I can't read the debuff because it seems there are two bars overlapping. The second bar seems to simply say "Magic" and I have seen it overlap with any number of other debuffs. It does not show up in the filters, so I cannot blacklist it. I am not sure where this "debuff" is coming from??? :confused:

I am still not sure what caused this, but I confirmed it was this addon (all others turned off) overlaying the debuff type (magic, curse, poison) on top of the debuff. I was able to work around the problem by deleting my debuff group and making a new one, but still not sure if this is a setting or just a weird bug.
