Description
Compact Runes is a re-write of DocsDebugRunes. It preserves the compact UI but adds additional features.
Configuration
To configure, type /crunes or use the game menu: Esc -> Interface -> AddOns (tab in top, left corner) -> Compact Runes. Next to the Compact Runes title on the right is a small plus sign that expands and provides more settings.
Features
It tracks the following items:
- Runes (shown horizontally or vertically) with an optional setting to show a numeric timer for each rune. Runes are sorted by the recharge timer but it can be disabled.
- Runic Power
- Diseases and time left.
- Sudden Doom, Shadow Infusion, Dark Transformation, Soul Reaper, Festering Wound, and Epidemic for Unholy.
- Rime/Freezing Fog, Killing Machine, Icy Talons, Razorice, and Remorseless Winter for Frost
- Death and Decay Bar for Blood and Unholy to show the buff for AoE.
- Blood Shield
- Vampiric Blood bar which shows the duration and cooldown.
- LDB/Minimap Icon Support
- RC Procs are indicated with a white border.
- RE procs, RC procs, and wasted Blood Charges tracking in the LDB tooltip.
- Crimson Scourge is shown as a proc.
- Out of melee range is indicated by a red border. This option can be disabled.
- An optional "Almost ready" rune state. The alpha can be adjusted independently for it.
- Cooldown Bars per spec. A configurable row of icons to show the cooldown on abilities and certain trinkets.
- Swing Timer (main hand).

Posted Jan 4, 2015Great addon! Have a little question, is it possible to let us increase the height/widith of the Cooldown Bars. I looked everywhere but i couldnt find a way to increase the size of the icons. Also another thing: Is it possible to make the Defile icon ignore rune CDs?

Posted Jan 15, 2015In the latest alpha you should be able to change the cooldown bar icon size. I also attempted to account for all rune cooldowns. There is a new section in the settings called Ignore Rune CDs if you wish to revert it back to the previous behavior.

Posted Jan 1, 2015You can either use the command line and type /crunes or if you pull up the in-game menu, select Interface, click the Addons tab, then click on Compact Runes. The plus button next to it will expand it and show additional options.

Posted Dec 19, 2014I have been using this addon forever now - great work!
It is one of the only ones I can find that can display Defile/D&D cooldown without taking rune cooldown into account. I would love if it could do the same for Soul Reaper! is there any chance that you will add soul reaper to the Cooldown Bars in the near future?
Edit: While not as easily reproducable as in Sharplol's case, I also often find the Defile Cooldown Bar not properly "catching" a cast.

Posted Jan 15, 2015I'm not sure Soul Reaper belongs on the Cooldown Bars since those are longer term CDs. I did just change the addon to try to ignore all rune CDs. There is an option to revert back to the previous behavior in the section Ignore Rune CDs.
I believe the latest versions shouldn't miss any cooldowns but if you believe you found something, please send along as much as possible on how to reproduce it.

Really loving this addon - it's the best DK addon that I've used.
I'm running into one problem though. On the cooldown bar for Frost, Defile rarely displays as being on cooldown correctly. It will display properly for the first time I use Defile after logging in and then it won't go on timer properly for many more uses of Defile. Reloading my UI allows me to get one succesful display again before it stops working. I just tried it in Blood as well and it worked twice before it stopped going on timer again.
I use the cooldown bar for Outbreak and Pillar of Frost too and they both work without issue.
Any help or suggestions would be greatly appreciated :)

Posted Dec 17, 2014I'm working through the list. I pushed an alpha with the procs mentioned below. There is a proc for 5-9 and one for 10+ stacks of BT. I added DnD as a proc and it will automatically switch to Defile when talented.
1-3: Done in the latest alpha.
4: Not difficult but need to decide how to handle the ever-growing number of bars.
5: Doable although right now they auto-adjust based on the size of a rune bar.
6: I had trinkets handled on the CD bars but I need to update to the newer trinkets.
7: There is a Raise Dead proc that is supposed to show up when you have no pet. It isn't perfect yet but I'm working on it.
8: I'd have to look into that.

Posted Dec 11, 2014It depends on what you are referring to. If you want to change the alpha of the backdrop that is between the runes and the border, I added an option. It's in the latest alpha version 1.5-2 under Display Alpha. Alpha versions are here:

The runes also have alphas you can set. There is a section Rune Background with a rune alpha.
There are lots of settings that have been added though. If you let me know exactly which part of the UI you want to control I can help you find it.

Posted Dec 3, 2014Under the options there is a section named Recharging Runes. Look for the setting Recharge Timers. It has 3 options. You want to select All or Only Recharging. All shows timers on both and Only Recharging shows the timer on just the currently recharging rune.
