Chatter
Chatter is a comprehensive, lightweight, mega-configurable chat enhancement addon. It supports a whole bunch of stuff, including:
- Hiding buttons
- Custom aliases for channel names
- Coloring of player names by class or deterministic HSV formula, and player levels next to names
- Custom font and font size for your chat frames
- Custom background, border, and positioning for the edit box
- Option to let the edit box border color match the color of the channel you are typing in
- Channel colors remembered by name, rather than by number
- Scrolling your chat frames with the mouse wheel.
- Sticky channels, configurable
- Ability to copy a chat frame's contents to your clipboard
- Ability to copy URLs to your clipboard
- Ability to customize the background and border of your chat frames
- Timestamps
- A /tt command to send a tell to your target
- A module that turns the word "invite" into clickable links that let you invite the speaker.
- Highlights both for custom keywords in specific channels
- Chat fading toggles
- Text justification
- Autologging (Off by default)
- Alt linking
- Much larger and smaller chat frames than default
- A Groupsay (/gr) command to talk to your group, whether that's battleground, raid, or party.
- Chat Tab look-n-feel modifications
- Paging through chat tabs with the scroll wheel
From good old DAoC I am used to switch chat channels with hotkeys like "Shift+G" opens guild channel.
This is possible with prat as far as I know but maybe easy to incorporate into this addon too.
Thanks a lot and keep up the good work.
Would be really nice to add an option to change Whisper's sound. Something like what ChatMOD uses, where u can explore a .mp3 file and use it as the whisper sound.
"""Blizzard added a new option on the chat window tab menu. You can now make it interactive or not. When the window is not interactive, it doesn't get darker when you mouse over it (assuming you left the background color to the default one), and you can't click anything in it, be it item links, player's names, etc.
Right click your chat window tab and look in the menu if you see "Make Interactive" or "Make Uninteractive". At least I think that it was those exact words, though I might be mistaking, but if I am, then it's something VERY similar to it.
It's possible you clicked it by mistake. I'm pretty sure that's the problem you're having. """""
I am able to click my own skill link, but not others.
I just tried all this and with this Mod or Phanx or ChatMod loaded I am blocked on clicking others trade skill links, with out any chat modifying mod it is not blocked.
I am guessing it is something to do with this new feature, that has to be worked out for all these chatframe mods to work again.

Does Chatter give the option to fade the chad box to a defined alpha after a certain amount of inactivity? Or even better, while in combat?
Thanks
It also resets every time you /reload ui or log out and in. :\
Blizzard has acknowledged the profession links is on their end.
solution is to delete/remove "spammenot" something to do with that stops basically all your system messages coming through instead of just spam :)
tho I see whispers and gchat.
