Chatter
Chatter is a comprehensive, lightweight, mega-configurable chat enhancement addon. It supports a whole bunch of stuff, including:
- Hiding buttons
- Custom aliases for channel names
- Coloring of player names by class or deterministic HSV formula, and player levels next to names
- Custom font and font size for your chat frames
- Custom background, border, and positioning for the edit box
- Option to let the edit box border color match the color of the channel you are typing in
- Channel colors remembered by name, rather than by number
- Scrolling your chat frames with the mouse wheel.
- Sticky channels, configurable
- Ability to copy a chat frame's contents to your clipboard
- Ability to copy URLs to your clipboard
- Ability to customize the background and border of your chat frames
- Timestamps
- A /tt command to send a tell to your target
- A module that turns the word "invite" into clickable links that let you invite the speaker.
- Highlights both for custom keywords in specific channels
- Chat fading toggles
- Text justification
- Autologging (Off by default)
- Alt linking
- Much larger and smaller chat frames than default
- A Groupsay (/gr) command to talk to your group, whether that's battleground, raid, or party.
- Chat Tab look-n-feel modifications
- Paging through chat tabs with the scroll wheel
New odd thing with the latest version (1.-2-2-g8bd5086).
When people join in guild, their names are cut off. However, when they join a custom channel, they are fine.
Here's an example for you: http://i191.photobucket.com/albums/z126/csrace/chatter.jpg
It's in Player Names
Same thing for the second part.
Mavae: Turn on class colors in the default WoW settings for all channels.
@kagaro I keep checking and rechecking the disable buttons module, but my chat frames keep resetting anyway. Anything I should look at?
Also would be nice to include Real ID (incoming, outgoing) and Party leader in channel sounds... or incoming and outgoing for every channel lol!
Btw besides other issues, the Player Names module is not working at all. I can't change/remove brackets, colors, etc. Maybe Blizz disabled this with the new chat frame?
Hope you fix it soon, I love chatter!
v1.2-2-g8bd5086 When someone comes online or wins an achievement, the name cuts off the last letter. So it says [Johndo] and not [Johndoe] has come online. [Johndo] has earned the achievement and it should be [Johndoe] has earned the achievement. Thanks for a very nice mod
But today I also noticed that when some guildies were logging on it's been cutting off the last letter of their nicks.
Instead of showing "[nick] has come online.", it will show "[nic] has come online."
It's not a major issue, but I have clicked on those bracketed nicks to make a quick pst to someone.
