Chatter
Chatter is a comprehensive, lightweight, mega-configurable chat enhancement addon. It supports a whole bunch of stuff, including:
- Hiding buttons
- Custom aliases for channel names
- Coloring of player names by class or deterministic HSV formula, and player levels next to names
- Custom font and font size for your chat frames
- Custom background, border, and positioning for the edit box
- Option to let the edit box border color match the color of the channel you are typing in
- Channel colors remembered by name, rather than by number
- Scrolling your chat frames with the mouse wheel.
- Sticky channels, configurable
- Ability to copy a chat frame's contents to your clipboard
- Ability to copy URLs to your clipboard
- Ability to customize the background and border of your chat frames
- Timestamps
- A /tt command to send a tell to your target
- A module that turns the word "invite" into clickable links that let you invite the speaker.
- Highlights both for custom keywords in specific channels
- Chat fading toggles
- Text justification
- Autologging (Off by default)
- Alt linking
- Much larger and smaller chat frames than default
- A Groupsay (/gr) command to talk to your group, whether that's battleground, raid, or party.
- Chat Tab look-n-feel modifications
- Paging through chat tabs with the scroll wheel
If anybody else is having this problem you need to just go into the blizzard interface options -> Social -> Chat Style -> set to Classic Style rather than IM Style.

Any possible fixes? The most important one for me atm is the free movement of the editbox.. it's killing me to not see what I write
i figured out that if i unchecked and rechecked the "enable disable buttons" option under "disable buttons" that the chat frame does not readjust itself when you reloadui, i reloaded my ui like 2x to be sure it would stay but its seems to be working so far.
The addon is still moving to the right and moving up from the bottom of the screen like its making room for the blizzard chat box and the blizzard chat arrows.
Whenever i log into any character, i have to open options and tick, then untick sticky chat to stop the chat from sticking to whatever i last typed into. also same problem with hiding the tabs, the alpha hides the tabs properly now but every time i log in, i have to tick and untick the option to hide them for it to work properly.
last thing, i am unable to copy chat and click where i am currently typing(edit box)anymore.
so if people want to stop the problem with the chat box moving, the wowace alpha version does that, but brings other problems.
* Have to click the very top of a chat tab to tab to it ... otherwise it activates the edit box. Edit box should only activate upon hitting "Enter". As it did before.
* Combat Log Fix now is slightly off on its fix .. by just a few pixels. Nothing major. It no longer grows to the same size as the other tab frames.
