This project is abandoned and its default file will likely not work with the most recent version of World of Warcraft. Whether this project is out of date or its author has marked it as abandoned, this project is no longer maintained.

CARTOGRAPHER HAS NOT BEEN UPDATED FOR 3.3!!!

DO NOT CREATE BUG REPORTS SAYING IT IS BROKEN!

There are no plans to do any major bug fixes for Cartographer (v2 or v3). If there is an update it will only be a minor fix. (It has already been this way since at least 2008.) Cartographer(v2) uses an outdated framework that will not be updated in the case of major breakages so Cartographer(v2) would require a complete rewrite. Neither of the two main developers (Ckknight and Arrowmaster) have the time nor desire to do this currently. Occasionally a new version might be released to include fixes made by other developers or new versions of embedded libraries.

Cartographer is a modular, lightweight, and efficient framework for manipulation of the world map. It is based on Rock and other libraries of the WoWAce community.

Battlegrounds : allows viewing of battlegrounds outside of the zone.
Coordinates : adds coordinates to the bottom of the world map of the player and the cursor.
Foglight : Shows unexplored areas on the map. replacement for MozzFullWorldMap or Unexplorer. Much more efficient, though.
Group Colors : turns all your party's and your raid's POIs into circles colored based on class, and shows a number on them based on their raid group.
Instance Maps : shows maps of instances.
Instance Notes : adds boss notes and such to instance maps.
Look 'n' Feel : allows you to change the transparency, position, and scale of the world map.
Notes : lets you put notes on the map, similar to MapNotes.
Zone Info : on hovering over a zone, it will show the levels of the zone, the instances in the zone, their levels, and the group size the instance is made for (e.g. 5-man, 40-man).

Thanks this is a life saver for when you're in instances! One thing however, I've noticed that the instances in Azeroth (original continents) don't show your position but they show the map and bosses, however in Northrend they show your positions but they don't show the bosses when you high light over them. Can you make it so it shows your position and the bosses names on both sets of instance maps? Thanks, this add on truly is great!

The location inside of instances is not possible unless blizzard adds maps for those instances like they did with northrend.

Cartographer isnt showing me the bosses loot now that there is the instance maps... do you guys know if there will be an update to this?

I'm having the exact same error. No zone info and group colors error in BGs is really buggering me out.

Some of my Cartographer addons have just died for some reason. I had the quest error so I disabled that. Hot spot hasn't been the same in the last three updates and I get an error upon entering game. Now my Zone info has kicked the bucket and that makes me want to cry. Then today while in Battlegrounds I couldn't close my map because and error for group colors kept poping up. I died needless to say..hehe. Is anyone else having any of these issues and may know a way to fix them?

I get the error
- with not-working dropdownmenus in instances too (with QuestHelper installed)
- also the issue with the map jumping back to the current zone

Then i get an nerving error that cartographer sometimes don't remember the status of the button for locking the map (alt-key).
I use the map in locked mode. so i can simply click my 5th mousebutton during moving or something, to watch the map and click again to close the map. But sometime, i have to press the alt-key to re-lock the map.
Anyone else with this problem.

Group colors seem to flicker on and off between the class colors and "white". Any idea what that might be related to?

The only issue I'm currently having with Cartographer is when viewing the map and checking other areas - even when standing still - the map jumps back to the current zone.

I haven't managed to figure out what's causing this so as to deal with it but it is quite annoying. Any info would be greatly appreciated.

I have run into an error with a combination of mods installed and enabled.
Cartographer 2.5.3
QuestHelper 0.106

All UIDropDownMenus stop working only in instances.
This seem to happen only when Cartographer Instance Map modules are enabled with QuestHelper also enabled. If I disable 1 or the other everything works fine. It seem to affect all UIDropDownMenus as I stated (Character page titles, right clicking unit frames, and other dropdown configuration or selection menus of other mods) while these 2 are enabled.

The issue is reproducible with only these 2 mods installed.
