This project is abandoned and its default file will likely not work with the most recent version of World of Warcraft. Whether this project is out of date or its author has marked it as abandoned, this project is no longer maintained.

CARTOGRAPHER HAS NOT BEEN UPDATED FOR 3.3!!!

DO NOT CREATE BUG REPORTS SAYING IT IS BROKEN!

There are no plans to do any major bug fixes for Cartographer (v2 or v3). If there is an update it will only be a minor fix. (It has already been this way since at least 2008.) Cartographer(v2) uses an outdated framework that will not be updated in the case of major breakages so Cartographer(v2) would require a complete rewrite. Neither of the two main developers (Ckknight and Arrowmaster) have the time nor desire to do this currently. Occasionally a new version might be released to include fixes made by other developers or new versions of embedded libraries.

Cartographer is a modular, lightweight, and efficient framework for manipulation of the world map. It is based on Rock and other libraries of the WoWAce community.

Battlegrounds : allows viewing of battlegrounds outside of the zone.
Coordinates : adds coordinates to the bottom of the world map of the player and the cursor.
Foglight : Shows unexplored areas on the map. replacement for MozzFullWorldMap or Unexplorer. Much more efficient, though.
Group Colors : turns all your party's and your raid's POIs into circles colored based on class, and shows a number on them based on their raid group.
Instance Maps : shows maps of instances.
Instance Notes : adds boss notes and such to instance maps.
Look 'n' Feel : allows you to change the transparency, position, and scale of the world map.
Notes : lets you put notes on the map, similar to MapNotes.
Zone Info : on hovering over a zone, it will show the levels of the zone, the instances in the zone, their levels, and the group size the instance is made for (e.g. 5-man, 40-man).

If you open the map while in the instance you can access the menu again.

Until this is fixed, you can target the person you wish to make leader in your group and type /promote

The same for follow/trade/inspect.

I'm having the same issue myself.

Forgive me for double-posting, but I am wondering, I have Cartographer installed on two computers, same version exactly but only one has "Foglight" available to set a color overlay over unexplored areas, what am I doing wrong?

I have unfortunately had to deactivate "Look and Feel" because it wasn't allowing me to zoom out or activate my mini zone map. Please please please, there are a lot of people having this issue, how do we fix it? Or can we get a version that addresses this? Thanks for the awesome add-on, love it when it works!

I downloaded today and havent been able to zoom out on the map. Anyone else having this issue? Know how to fix it? I've uninstalled the cartographer and I do have questhelper with all addons updated (thank you curse client)

cuz of the damned update, blizz get it right once, questhelper worked with cartographer be4 (not 3.0) tho i can tell ya questhelper still works with cartographer, tho the questhelper key in the map is placed badly (its over the room switch button)

the new patch has the ability to see your group and boss locations in the world map, now this ability is great but id rather not use WoW's technology when addons have many great abilities to add. far as i know theres no way to seperate pieces and parts of addons and deactivate them without editing them yourself, im NO good at scripting and would horribly break any addon scripts i touch (its happened before, any1 use MIRC? ya and that script it ALOT easier). will cartographer now have the ability to do the same? as previously it didnt.

Hey..I got WoW version 2.4.3 and couldn't figure out how to zoom in and out from the city -> to area -> to zone -> to worldmap. I can't click on it or find any hotkeys. Am I missing something?

Is there a way to turn off POI only for Wintergrasp? The blue dots obscure useful information (who owns a resource? is a tower still up?) I tried deleting them but they keep getting recreated.

with the new maps for Naxxramas, if i zoom out and them exit the map, them i press "m" again the map will show one wing and all the skulls with loot on the same places but not on the right place in the instance♠

I am also having a problem with the WoW portrait feature not working in instances when Cartographer is enabled. Can't right click for player options like inspect/target/loot change options, can't leave group....etc... I also miss the level requirements for each zone showing up on the map.

The Zone Info thing is fixed already.

The only reason you'd still be getting it is if you're using an old version, such as the one WowMatrix is serving.

I have the same problem, but when i took off cartographer, it worked fine. There's a glitch in there somewhere...
