This project is abandoned and its default file will likely not work with the most recent version of World of Warcraft. Whether this project is out of date or its author has marked it as abandoned, this project is no longer maintained.

CARTOGRAPHER HAS NOT BEEN UPDATED FOR 3.3!!!

DO NOT CREATE BUG REPORTS SAYING IT IS BROKEN!

There are no plans to do any major bug fixes for Cartographer (v2 or v3). If there is an update it will only be a minor fix. (It has already been this way since at least 2008.) Cartographer(v2) uses an outdated framework that will not be updated in the case of major breakages so Cartographer(v2) would require a complete rewrite. Neither of the two main developers (Ckknight and Arrowmaster) have the time nor desire to do this currently. Occasionally a new version might be released to include fixes made by other developers or new versions of embedded libraries.

Cartographer is a modular, lightweight, and efficient framework for manipulation of the world map. It is based on Rock and other libraries of the WoWAce community.

Battlegrounds : allows viewing of battlegrounds outside of the zone.
Coordinates : adds coordinates to the bottom of the world map of the player and the cursor.
Foglight : Shows unexplored areas on the map. replacement for MozzFullWorldMap or Unexplorer. Much more efficient, though.
Group Colors : turns all your party's and your raid's POIs into circles colored based on class, and shows a number on them based on their raid group.
Instance Maps : shows maps of instances.
Instance Notes : adds boss notes and such to instance maps.
Look 'n' Feel : allows you to change the transparency, position, and scale of the world map.
Notes : lets you put notes on the map, similar to MapNotes.
Zone Info : on hovering over a zone, it will show the levels of the zone, the instances in the zone, their levels, and the group size the instance is made for (e.g. 5-man, 40-man).

Sadly, the LICENSE.txt file says that ALL RIGHTS ARE RESERVED BY CKKNIGHT. That means that even though I downloaded it from CURSE, I DO NOT HAVE PERMISSION TO USE IT ON MY COMPUTER BECAUSE I AM NOT CKKNIGHT.

Thanks for making me waste my bandwidth and yours by having me download something you don't want me to use.

Wintergrasp has never shown up for my on cartographer, does anybody else have this problem? The POI's blue circles are there, but there is no map.

My wintergrasp is fine with and without the POI's enabled. I only got a problem with the maps for dungeons the boss's are located in the incorrect spots. and at login the error about the notes lua.

How do I turn off the 'eta' and the 'distance' on the waypoint arrow? I want just the name of the waypoint only.

There is a feature that has been missing since 3.1 came out and i was hoping it will come back. When you opened the map, it had level info, instance info, etc on it and now there is nothing. Is this coming back? And definitely one of the best addons i've seen, would be nice to let wowmatrix update though.

I use questhelper and there use to be a button to the right of the lock button to access questhelper settings and now the button is gone

Can anyone tell me what version still has it or a way to enable it?

You sure have big ones for trying to define what is right for someone else. This is the authors property, not yours. As of this moment the author is apparently satisfied with the current situation, because the author has not been changed it.

As far as a sellout, taking care of himself and his product is not a sellout. What do you think a sellout is?

The author has produced a popular product for the WOW community. As of this writing there have been 325,000+ downloads from Curse, which has put needed revenue in the pocket of Curse and maybe even a bit in the author's pocket as well. All of these 325,000 people have demonstrated a willingness to use Curse to download. What is the percentage of complainers?

Do you think everything is free? Do you think a big site like Curse runs on air? or maybe WOW gold? No, it takes bandwidth, time, expertise, the support of addon developers and most importantly, dollars. That the author has chosen to support this distribution method is his business, not yours.

The demise of Curse would be bad for everyone.

As for you, instead of crying, moaning and complaining, you should be saying Thank You, Thank You, Thank You.

I will absolutely, never post my addons to WowMatrix.

They have been utter assholes to me, personally, and the rest of the addon community.

They're currently posting my old addons without my explicit permission, and they edit addons without permission as well.
