Cartographer 3.0

Table of Contents

This is a map addon for World of Warcraft that replaces the map and offers shiny features.

The idea is for it to work very much like Google Maps, only in-game.

Cartographer 3.0 is brand new, "experimental" version of Cartographer.

I tried this out today. There were a number of areas all over the map where, when I moused over them, a huge yellow ring and a fade picture would show up, preventing me from clicking on the area, scrolling the map, or using the controls. I tried to figure out what the heck this "feature" was and how to disable it before giving up and turning Cartographer off. What is/was this?

For those who are having trouble with the default map being so TINY:

Move your cursor to the edge of the map. When it changes into a magnifying glass, you can resize it.

Where are you addon creator??? Update this outstanding addon, please! Because wow-servers are moving forward and this addon still stand in time! 0_0 And ever less possibilities remain accessible. I will pray on you! ^^,

P.S.: Sorry for my english, but i hope that author will read this, because i wish'nt use others cartographers!!! Ssssssssssss!!! They are shitty!

Is there any way to allow Cartographer 3.0 control over the map when you have Carbonite Quest installed?
Right now I have both installed but I see no way to even access Cartographer.

its not showing dalaran, just the border, and not showing the instances, except for utgarde keep

I dont know how but my map got extremely wide and I cant move it freely to get to the corner to be able to make it smaller.. How can I fix this??

I had this exact same problem. Go to your video options, check "Use UI Scale", then drag the slider all the way to low. Open your map again, resize it to be small, then turn off UI scale.

the best addon ever but i wonder when will an update will come out , there are alot of dungeons that missing and and the map of dalaran
if not the map of the dungeon atlist give us the blue and green dots that tell us what dungeons in each place

Thank you, Metahawk! Works exactly as advertised. :)

I had an error where I created an icon & note, then could not delete them. Subsequent attempts to create notes generated .lua errors. After applying your fix, the notes deleted, I created new ones successfully ... and all without a hitch. A nice piece of detective work, considering you were dealing with someone else's abandoned effort!

Ckknight is very clever, and Im well aware that he does this for free. I take nothing away from the guy. Unfortunately, once you create something that generates the interest of millions of people -- even if you lose interest in completing the project -- you have a degree of responsibility to follow through with error-tracking, in my book.

We can only hope that you decide to take over development on Cartographer 3. Any way I can possibly help, Id be glad to.

You can login with your Curse account, just not directly. I had to follow the link to register at curseforge, login at curseforge, go BACK to the wowace forums and hit the login link at the top right. Then I was logged in and could download.
