Cartographer 3.0

Table of Contents

This is a map addon for World of Warcraft that replaces the map and offers shiny features.

The idea is for it to work very much like Google Maps, only in-game.

Cartographer 3.0 is brand new, "experimental" version of Cartographer.

I tried adding the libtourist and libsimple to the cartographer file with no success. If there are any other details about how to resolve this issue, libtourist-3.0 file missing, i would greatly appreciate any insight. i miss this addon and desperately want it back.

You need to open the Cartographer3 folder then in there is another folder titled "libs" put them in there, then you can start Wow this is what worked for me

thank you for replying, i tried this as well with no success. i placed the folders from libtourist and libsimple directly into the lib folder of cart3. i then tried emptying the folders into the lib folder of cart3. thanks for tryin to help, hopefully ckknight will just work the bugs out soon.

As has been said, you need to manually install the libs missing in order to fix this error.
Install LibTourist-3.0 and LibSimpleOptions-1.0, (I also needed to install the BabbleLibs) and Cartographer 3.0 will work just fine. You may also want to make a copy and put it in the Cartographer 3.0/libs folder, though I don't know if this is necessary.

LibTourist-3.0 requires LibBabble-Zone-3.0 to work. I just installed the three requirement libs right into my Interface\AddOns folder.

C'mon update this addon i get the message "Cartographer 3 requires the library "LibTourist-3.0" and will not work without it."
never had it and today i got it and it sucks couse this is the best cartographer there is so plz update.

Problem is, I prefer the scrolling feature of this Cartographer 3.0 Why do you need a map of Dalaran anyway?

As said above in the description, 3.0 was experimental; "Normal" Cartographer still works fine and was just updated as of 2-2-2009. http://wow.curse.com/downloads/wow-addons/details/cartographer.aspx

So those of you frustrated with the accumulating bugs in 3.0, just switch. Regular Cart has a Dalaran map. That alone should be enough to convince you to go back. :D

I love this addon. A much more natural and organic feel than the original cartographer, which I also used. However, since the 3.08 patch the instance maps have disappeared. I can't figure out how to reaquire them. I was hoping that there might be an update. Until there is I have gone back to the original cartographer. Please update soon. This is a great mod.

This addon was the best. But I dont have option except chance for another. Very sad to do that. If and when it has done update here, I will come back.

I am getting the error message right after I enter world that says "Cartographer 3 requires the library "LibTourist-3.0" and will not work without it."

I tried installing that manually and it still does not work. Also, I am only getting this on my laptop. On my desktop, everything installed fine and I did get any errors.

Any ideas?

Is there a way to change the color not only the size of the arrow that represents the player on the map ?

So 'Get Time()' is not available anymore and that's why we can't see the instance maps in the Cartographer 3, I guess(not quite sure). Unfortunately, I'm not familiar with this kind of work. Hope there'll be someone who can solve this.

If anyone is trying to use the MapNotes addon with Cartographer 3, you will be unable to see any of your notes because they will be impossibly small.

To fix this, follow these steps.

1. Edit the file MapNotesOptionsFrame.xml in the MapNotes addon folder.
2. Do a search for MN_IconSlider:SetMinMaxValues(8,48);
3. Change the 48 to 1500, then reload WoW
4. Ctrl-right click on the map and click Options, then drag the icon size slider to the max

You should now be able to see all of your old notes! :D

What happened to the instance maps? They helped me get through alot of areas, now they are gone.

I got cartographer in my addons folder but it isn't showing up in my addons list, does this not work for macs or is there something i'm doing wrong?
