Cartographer 3.0

Table of Contents

This is a map addon for World of Warcraft that replaces the map and offers shiny features.

The idea is for it to work very much like Google Maps, only in-game.

Cartographer 3.0 is brand new, "experimental" version of Cartographer.

Made a small update to the Dalaran FanUpdate based on a few comments reporting they couldn't see Dalaran after making the changes could you try this new update I posted down in the thread http://forums.wowace.com/showthread.php?p=255757#post255757

Give feedbacks in the appropriate update thread please instead of Curse.

hey

im glad you updated this one for wrath, cause i realy love it. wouldent wana play without it infact =D!
however there are a few problems with northrend. the map over lays of grizzly hills and storms peak almost completly cover zul drak, wintersgrasp wont even light up, christal song forest is... well kinda anoying, maybe it could be a little more like the other zones. also dalaran has no map that i can find.
other than that it looks great =D good work

I have posted a patch for Cartographer3 at: http://forums.wowace.com/showthread.php?t=15196

Fixes:
All menus working correctly, including POI menus.
Notes icons can now be correctly assigned.
Notes can now be saved/edited/deleted correctly.
Includes updated libraries.

You need to abandon the old version and work exclusively on this new one. I like it SO much more and there hasn't been an update for over a month. =(

I extracted to the directory and double checked that they were there with the correct size and date. Still no Dalaran...

you don't know how to extract a zip file sorry then , I also double checked just for you, from the ct3 original , replaced the 4 files I submitted, Dalaran is here.

you have to /console reloadui or disconnect and reconnect also for the changes to take effects I just did not mention this as it is normal

and Btw dalaran is at the left of Northrend, not inside the continent but just another frame to the northrend's left, the map will onto zoom to your position once you physically enter in the citie.

With WoW closed, I deleted my Cartographer 3 directories, re-added the .3 version, then added the Dalaran update, having Winzip specifically approve each file replacement. Still no Dalaran.
If its working on the computer you developed this on, then mine is missing something. I'm a developer myself, but haven't played with the add-on stuff much.

Is there supposed to be a Dalaran map file somewhere? I'm still looking for it. Found it referenced in the code, but can't locate it yet.

The map to the left of the Northrend map is a blank Crystalsong Forest one. Something is missing --it should be the Dalaran detail map.

must be an art difference between enUS & frFR clients, I will look around this, you are playing on a enUS client ?

Couldn't find where you couldn't get it dude , I'm on a frFR client but it should work under all languages, tried to completely delete Ct3, cleaned up the WTF to check if that is not savedvars conflicts, reinstalled ct3 + reimported the files, checked with multiples characters inside/outside northrend, Dalaran is always added after I reload the ui.

I have posted a 0.10.3 FanUpdate including Dalaran on wowace forums here

just extract the files in your current /Cartographer3/ dir and you should have Dalaran. I wont add much anyway dont request that is just a temp update for a vital map until ckk come back on it.

I love the addon... I am using Carbonite because it has the same style map but also has Dalaran... Please update the mod... I would rather use this one.

Please find some time to update this mod, it is the best map mod out there. Thank you for such an awesome mod, you've got to keep supporting it.

if your not able to find the time to update it, please let us know so perhaps someone else can pickup where you left off. This mod can't die :(
