This project is abandoned and its default file will likely not work with the most recent version of World of Warcraft. Whether this project is out of date or its author has marked it as abandoned, this project is no longer maintained.

CARTOGRAPHER HAS NOT BEEN UPDATED FOR 3.3!!!

DO NOT CREATE BUG REPORTS SAYING IT IS BROKEN!

There are no plans to do any major bug fixes for Cartographer (v2 or v3). If there is an update it will only be a minor fix. (It has already been this way since at least 2008.) Cartographer(v2) uses an outdated framework that will not be updated in the case of major breakages so Cartographer(v2) would require a complete rewrite. Neither of the two main developers (Ckknight and Arrowmaster) have the time nor desire to do this currently. Occasionally a new version might be released to include fixes made by other developers or new versions of embedded libraries.

Cartographer is a modular, lightweight, and efficient framework for manipulation of the world map. It is based on Rock and other libraries of the WoWAce community.

Battlegrounds : allows viewing of battlegrounds outside of the zone.
Coordinates : adds coordinates to the bottom of the world map of the player and the cursor.
Foglight : Shows unexplored areas on the map. replacement for MozzFullWorldMap or Unexplorer. Much more efficient, though.
Group Colors : turns all your party's and your raid's POIs into circles colored based on class, and shows a number on them based on their raid group.
Instance Maps : shows maps of instances.
Instance Notes : adds boss notes and such to instance maps.
Look 'n' Feel : allows you to change the transparency, position, and scale of the world map.
Notes : lets you put notes on the map, similar to MapNotes.
Zone Info : on hovering over a zone, it will show the levels of the zone, the instances in the zone, their levels, and the group size the instance is made for (e.g. 5-man, 40-man).

Great addon but just having a small problem..the problem is this I log in to the game with my main and it works fine but when I log in to the game with a alt this does not work any ideas?

Since Carto has been updated for WotLK there are no flightpoints anymore on my map :( What can it be?

Cart doesn't provide this function. Something like Inflight or Fubar_Tofu does.

OK, a few little problems I want to know if others are still having since the expansion... Look n feel "esc to close" doesn't work anymore,

I get an error about "elapsed" when I open the map up

foglight works one out of 10 times, can't figure out why.

waypoint markers stay on the map ( /way targets as well as skulls), even after they should be erased, or the zone has changed.

anyone else?

Great addon! I simply love it!

However, I have been having some problems with it lately. Here's what happens, I click enable on "Look 'n Feel" and every menu ingame stop working. I cant hit escape to logout of the game (escape wont work, have to ctrl+alt+del), I cant look at my character sheet(pressing c doesnt work), achievement(pressing y does nothing), talent(pressing n with no result)....

I have absolutely no indication of what might be causing this trouble at all... I'll try to figure out what causes it... very annoying problem...

I believe that this has been removed, check out Gathermate which works great with cartographer, I use it and I am very pleased although you will have to manually add nodes again since Cartographer_Fishing isn't done anymore

With the newest version 2.3.6 (fresh install, no settings in SavedVariables folder):

You cannot zoom out (right-click) of the starting area for death knights, Plaguelands: The Scarlet Enclave. If I look at the Eastern Plaguelands on the map, I cannot zoom in either.

I know you want us to post bugs elsewhere but I'm not going to create an account on a site I don't use to post a bug for an addon I got here.
I love cartographer and I'm glad you updated it, but it's not showing the instance maps that I grew attached to before the expansion. I have everything in there, I'm not getting any errors, it's just not showing them. I click on the map while I'm inside the instance and instead of the instance map showing up, the world map shows up with player dots on it.

I'm not sure if this is a problem with Quest Helper or Cartographer so I'm posting it on both.

At seemingly random times my waypoint arrow resets itself back to the middle of the screen. Just kind of annoying and was wondering if anyone else has had this problem or knows a fix.

Ok. I figured out when it happens. It's when I use the Alt+M keybinding to switch from fog of war, or whatever it's called on wow, to all uncovered. Don't know how to fix it though. :)

When I update Cartographer with curse client, it seems to disable eePanles. I know eePanels is outdated, but it seems to work with the older version of Cartographer. But the old cartographer has a problem with the Foglight. I can't disable it, so the map is always covered, except of course for the places I've explored.

Just wondering if anyone else has seen this problem.

Any way to customize the player icons on the map? For instance, I want my party to show up as bright blue dots and my guild mates to show up as dull green. I don't care for how they are color coded by class because it doesn't really matter which class they are when they're just wondering about Azeroth. As it is now it's really difficult to differentiate between party members and anyone else on the map. Also I noticed a typo on the map when you hover over a person it says "guild: charname" then lower in the tooltip it also says "guild: guildname".

What's about the Cartographer-Quest-Helper? Is it implemented or should I download it extra?
